Thanks Barnsey.
What can get lost in all this, while the 'Calling for Heads' is so prevalent, is there are plenty of fabulous people at the club who would be completely shell shocked by all this. Those that have been working so hard behind the scenes to rebuild the club. So many diehard volunteers who work with the players everyday. Fix them, tend to them, laugh with them, cry with them and above all help them make it onto the ground week in week out.
Those people don't deserve the sadness this entire episode brings. Sure in the grand scheme of things a couple of drunk footballers is nothing but to many those footballers are the centre of their life. The Carlton Football Club represents so much to so many. Everyone of those employees, helpers & volunteers deserves better. They deserve an apology from the leadership group.

The problem is at Carlton their is NO leadership group
it is there in form...
it is not there in function...
what do they do when it counts?...easy to sit back and give Eddie and Cloke a suspension when asked to adjudicate...but what are they pro-actively doing to prevent problems
Ppl are pointing the finger at Judd...
Juddy is a great captain, but he needs 4 - 6 guys to back him up 365 days a year. He doesn't have them.
We need to find a leadership group with balls, intellegence and commitment to the club.
Lack of leadership was part of the reason we targeted Judd in the 1st place.
It seems the rest of the group are taking the easy route and leaving it all up to him.
If we had a leadership that worked they would have needed to sanction this cruise.
If they had commitment they would have decided to not get plastered themselves and oversee the group
If they had brains they would have inspected, and made a call on the amount of alcohol appropriate for a 3 hr cruise.
If they had any balls they would have stopped the cruise, turned the boat around, dumped excess grog overboard at some stage.
Sticks may be the rotting head.....but the leadership group is the rotting guts.
