Despite swanny having said last chance last time, I cant see the club trading him

Ya know...... the last time we let something fester, the AFL stepped in and did what we couldn't.

What football-related crime did Cuzzy committ again?

PLEASE, fancy having to get a minder for a guy who is 28 years old and with 2 kids and another on the way! What a joke! We should have traded him years go, the guy is an absolute tool and makes our club look stupid. Ratten was sitting on the same table as was Judd. Pull him aside and have a quiet word and tell him to pull his head in! Regardless of whether it is off season or not, Fevola is representing the club and needs to start acting firstly like an adult and secondly like a well paid professional.

The sad thing is the club wont trade him so we are stuck with this immature idiot and will never have any sort of forward line stucture while he is there.

At least he made it to the function. Unlike Akermanis..

The bloke though does have a serious issue when it comes to booze. If Greg Swann is true to his word from the start of last year then Fev's papers are stamped. Do a deal with Melbourne for pick 2 & 18.
As Wallsy has said - we've pissed in this bloke's pocket for far too long.

You'll need to add a zero to that figure.... and I would suggest you bring your head in from the 80s and take a look around the professional sport landscape. Footy, at that level, is business... you can't disseminate the two. Yes, there are plenty of non-PC things that go on inside footy clubs (or any type of club for that matter), but there must be consequences when these things are made public. If for no other reason than to protect the rest of those within the inner sanctum.

IN the old days, you would just bash a bloke until he got the message.... Sadly for Fev, he's going to be made a scapegoat. Maybe not this time, maybe not the next, but he'll get it in the end.

If you really want to lose a chance of a premiership in 2-3 years, then trade Fev. But, l would prefer to keep the best full forward in the game and go for a premiership. I probably wouldn't pay $550 for a membership next year if they traded fev for a crap player or draft picks though. Who would want to support a bottom 8 side again.

Heavy price to pay for his team mates.

That is true, but im just saying that i dont think he would of expected to be so drunk, and when u drunk you do things you regret. Everyones been drunk and regretted things. This is a lot worse because its in the lime light.

Could be the best thing he has ever done aswell, could you imagine if he realises he has got a problem now and doesnt drink for the rest of his career and gets help. Thats the positive l hope comes out of this.

Didn't Swann say that if Fev got smashed again, he was out the door?

before this came to light I wanted him traded, preferably to the bulldogs for two good players. More based on his currency then his behaviour - brave clubs make brave decisions, he is our Richo - Richmond would have been miles better off trading him when they had the chance.

Maybe Fev getting punted from TFS isn't such a bad thing - might stop embarrassing himself

The article mostly centres around Fevola's Street Talk performance. He did it last year, decided to go further over the top this year and it didn't work out.

The rest of the article centres around the after party. What happened in that private function really is of no business of ours, but anway, what was reported was as tame as it gets. That ain't a big night out.

He's signed another contract since then, I believe without the behavioural clauses in it.

Verbs I don't think we would care if it was on a boys trip away, but this was at an AFL function, didn't see too many teammates wanting to be near him.

So he has an issue with alchohol. News breaking. Only Fev can solve this problem, and as long as he does during the pre-season/season proper, I couldn't care less what he does as long as it doesn't involve a criminal action.

It simply sounds like Fev being an intoxicated nusiance like Crawford and Newman before him.

"And Fevola did not hold back as he simulated sex for the cameras, puckered up for some unsuspecting WAGs and bystanders, and swore black and blue while interviewing players and guests."

Well if you remember the negotiations were over a number of months and Fev copped a lot of criticism for not signing earlier. I'd imagine that was one of the bigger sticking points.

Ironic that Bulldogs know they cant win a flag without a key forward and some of you guys want to trade our key forward so we can be like the bulldogs, because a guy got pissed during an event that people get drunk in.

Glad your not running the club.

So what are the rules we are imposing on players, or Fev in this case? That he doesn't drink? Or that he can drink but not get in the media about it? I just don't understand where we want to draw the line and how much of a footballers civil liberties we think we can impinge. Is Fev now on his break, technically annual leave? Do the club have rights there? I have never been one of these people who think that these footballers have an obligation to behave as an entity to themselves and with specific conditions. I understand they are public figures and that carries expectations but how much can clubs or the AFL impose on these players and try and penalise them. I certainly wouldn't put up with all these restrictions and constraints.

The HS video is totally harmless - big deal he was singing! Shock, horror!

Some of you jump the gun and want to start imposing ridiculous penalties and sanctions as if these people are not entitled to the freedoms we get. I certainly would challenge my employer if this was the case. Fev is targeted and maybe he should be more careful with how he conducts himself but AFAIC he is doing what every other Australian has the right to do and therefore IMO he doesn't deserve to be lambasted. We have all been brainwashed to comply with a set of standards fed to us by a hypocritical media contingent who seem to think they are the moral, ethical and behavioural standard setters for society, especially footballers in this case.

For TFS to axe the segment it must have been pretty bad -

Simply amazing that everyone has a finger to wave at a bloke behaving like many of us have done in the past - unless they are too young or boring flowers Get a life you lot.

Totally Agree.

If you ever watch the stallone movie, demolition man, that is a taste of the future. You can't even fart without being fined.
