previous wks - difficult to remember off hand individual output in each game but i would say decision making and execution of skills has been an issue for most of his career. WHen played up forward - has not been effective as a hit up man and does not apply sufficient forward line pressure and sturggled to find enought of the ball. THese have also been issues throughout his career.
cant comment on specific wks cos i cant remember but game v pies comes to mind.
See that's the problem Nevin, you are referring to issues he's had in the developing years of his career. Those issues are imprinted in your brain and do not allow you to see the positives in JR's game. All players make errors but because you were used to JR making those errors in the past, as soon as he makes one or two that's what you remember. Since Ratts took over he has made steady improvement and after a stint in the Ants this year, has come back bigger and better than ever. He's easily been in our best in every game bar the Pies one (he certainly wasn't our worst that night) and is coming along quite nicely.
You do realise he hasn't played 50 games yet and that it takes most players 80-100 games to get anywhere near their peak performance don't you?I think the fact that you can't actually point out where and when he's been playing poorly this year and the fact that you keep referring to his past robs your post of any credibility personally.
Do YOU realise that if he is your favorite player than you should know how many games he has played........................66 buddy
