Russell was finally dropped.
And has he come back better for it?
ABSOLUTELY!
Best game in the navy blue last night for mine. Looked assured, kicked well, looked strong, and Johnson injured is still >>> lots of other players at full strength.
Well played Jordan.
But when will some of you get it out of your head that a large proportion of the 'knockers' were saying Jordan was playing crap and needed to be dropped - which the MC did nothing about for weeks.
Finally, he got dropped, worked on his game, and got promoted.
He's a much better player for it. THE 'KNOCKERS' were right! (ahhhhhhh. knockers)
The MC have managed him well... eventually. IMO they were just too slow to act and he hadn't got that feeling that his position was under threat, turning in shit performances and retaining his spot week after week.
Well done JR, keep improving.
Well said. Most of the 'knockers' (myself included) only wished for Jordan to get a reality check, to be sent a message that he wasn't going to be carried if he was playing poorly and that there were consequences for not performing, as there should be for everyone. JR has even said himself that getting dropped was a massive motivation to improve, and that he was lucky to get many of those games he did get. So quite right, if the 'knockers' wanted to be self-indulgant they'd have every right to say "I told you so". We're seeing this with Stevo too, a new sense of purpose. Dropping these guys are just the sorts of tough decisions a strong leader should be making, and what we've been screaming for Ratts to do.
