Mate, we need to just need to accept that our players are lazy and crumble under pressure. Those kicks at goal and simple laziness on Friday night is the players themselves. Everytime they are given a big challenge they fail.
But Rattens decisions on Friday left me scratching my head. Harlett IN and in the ruck, Maxwell loose man in defence. Our forwardline , not in the forwardline. Our defensive flooding, did not stop them getting goals at all.
We recruit baby players who need to be spoonfed. How about putting some blame on them. What about our match committee, get Robinson, Garlett back in the team to create some forwardline pressure. Everytime something goes wrong these guys get dropped for nothing.
We couldn't score - we had umpteen forward fifty entries and couldn't take a mark
He had tried Hartlett forward - He had tried Austin Forward - Yarren was scared and in effective
Hampson was tried forward and was hit lace out four times and spilled the marks
Fisher was a WOS
So he shifted Krues forward and and Switched Hartlett and Hampson to the full time ruck
He was coaching trying to get things happening because his other forward target had dropped his bundle again . He moved Carrazzo off Didak trying to make things happen - Didak had been quiet he run a muck once Carrazzo was shifted off him . Ratts was trying but unfortunately the game was already lost at the selection table trying to discipline players
And as for Gartlett and Robbo and Yarren being dropped that is just ridiculous speak - He is rotating them 2 to 3 games at a time trying not to expose boys who are not quite ready for the vigors of AFL to much - Collingwood have been doing exactly the same thing with Beams and Dick and Wellingham - and the kid who kick a bag in the under 18 final
