YES MELVS I know you are an apologist for Essendon* because they suit your argument but fact remains they are 4 points behind us and 8 % behind - its a bit like Hawthorn complaining about injuries for this years performance -nice spin
- you can prefer Knights to Ratten I dont and I dont think he is doing so much better than our guy - their best players still seem to be lloyd and fletcher
Its a bit like everyone saying Paddy Rider is a great young ruckman and not mentioning Kreuzer
I understand Essendon* are a glamour team but in my view are overhyped
Essendon* lost to Richmond - and apart from Hille dont seem to have a great number of good players out
We beat Richmond without jamison walker warnock waite just to name a few - we havent been able to access walker and warnock (our no 1 ruckman ) and our chb who was in all australian form in waite hasnt played for 10 weeks at least
Our midfield fit and firing stevens(one of our key midfielders) is in the vfl - a key midfielder -judd looks like he is on one leg - bentick another midfielder didnt have a pre-season either
fev played with a bruised heel for the first 10 games -carrazzo and grigg had interrupted pre-seasons as did fisher
Jamison perhaps our best defender has missed about 6 matches this season with injury
All teams have injuries and we have had plenty this year
Lets apply standards equally thats all we ask
When did i say i prefer Knights over Ratten. Its that the Bombers went through a process to find the right person for the job!!!!!!
Maybe if our club had interviewed a few we might have found ourselves a Lyon, Clarkson or maybe Knights.
I said the Bombers have about 7 guys playing who missed the vital october to december training and most are the guts of there midfield and there better players.
The only player we have to have missed the october to december training was Scottland, and he is paying for it.
They to had Welshe, Prismal and McVeigh missing for majority of the year.
