PROS:
Joseph ... continues to impress by taking another scalp
Browne ... again showing postive glimpses
Hammer ... making small gains as he gathers up consecutive games
Bower ... did a number of roles and did them well
Armfield ... got to hand it to him. he is not scared to take a risk
Gibbs ... really put his head over the ball
Fev ... must like seeing Wayne Brittain in the opposition coaches box
Judd ... for being Judd
CONS:
We have alot of work to do off the ball if we are ever do be a serious contender. Grigg was the big offender.
People knocking Jamison about going to ground ... more often than not he is trying to spoil off someone on the lead ... he has to lunge to reach for the spoil ... leading forwards are instructed to mark and then roll forward to make it more diffiucult for the defender.
Is it just me or is Nick Stevens just "cruising" along and going along for the ride while the likes of Judd busts his gut. Maybe I am wrong but I think his lack of gut busting running holds him back from the eilte.
I don't think that comparing Stevens with Judd is fair.
You have to accept that they are different and Judd is the best in the land.
Furthermore Stevens will never get close to Judd's all round game, but Stevens does have strengths which are valuable to the team.
Stevens' first 3 possessions in the first 5 minutes spelled for a disastrous night, but I thought he did well after that.
I have also noticed that Stevens has been throwing his body into the contest over the last 3 weeks.
There's something else about Stevens and that is his endurance. Until the kids develop theres Stevens will remain ahead of them and a fixed item in the first 22.
