turn it up headplant.... had it been any other player, you would have joined the chorus saying it was shithouse umpiring.
it was an absolutely pathetic display of adjudication. no-one on the flower ground knew what was going on. it should have been the initial 50 and then get on with the game. for christ's sake show some common flower sense. the ridiculous fickleness of these clowns is a blight on the game.
the umpiring was bordering on cheating all day. history will say it didn't impact the result in the end, but it kept them in it in the first quarter and certainly gave a helping hand in the 2nd.

Turn it up? I'm just saying what the replay showed happened. I also noticed in Q1 that we received a 50m penalty against Kangas which was very harsh, when Kanga player played on instead of checking who the free was for.
In this case, the events were exactly as I described .... I'm not particularly critical of Fev having seen the replay, but that IS exactly what happened and a more sensible player would have used his own common sense, listened to the umpire as there was no urgency involved at the time, and done what the ump said. These are the discipline things which make good players better. I would be certain Judd would not have done what Fev did. Discipline is not one of Fev's strong points, unfortunately that's the way he is built.
But I lay the blame for this entirely at the seat of Gieschen, who is a total idiot and has no idea about how to improve the relationship between players and umps .. instead he has them acting like untouchable demi Gods.
And read what I said ... I did say probably a harsh call, but you too should have observed by now that umps indeed usually are very harsh when players don't hear or don't listen, irrespective of whether deliberate or not. They are SUPPOSED to listen, according to Gieschen.
