after todays performance I think the best things to come from this year are

JAMO is the revelation of the YEAR - New jersey and new number ordered.

GIBBS comming on in leaps and bounds is the feel good story of the year we knew would happen.

GRIGG has blossomed and I think suprised everyone and I couldnt be happier

WAITE I pefer as CHF but is almost unstoppable as CHB - a complete success as he is playing out of his skin even disposals have improved

FISH has been down on confidence but still presents well and runs all day
Someone should tell the guy JUST to do snap kicks - they are by far his most accurate kick this year.

There is something not right if 2 shots from the same spot one goes left and right goes right of the goals....

Bring on 2009

- Get to see a 10 goal belting fo the first time live
- Gibbs first half
- Judds 2nd half - stamped class
- Scooter good
- Murph was good today but like gibbs was well held at times

- Carrazzo was solid all day yes he did his run off back of packs for handball recieves but at least now his next disposal is to a carlton player moving forward and rarely missed a beat today - like last week GOOD WORK SON keep it up id say was BOG as he played well for 4 quarters.

- Saddo played OK thos saying he didnt do too much or anything should I dont know watch it again gave more then hartlet and edwards and even pushed forward and caused a few headaches - he played well.

Cons:

- I love Army and his dash only concern when he is running forward he tends to just jam the ball on his boot - granted its probably more effective then most but yeah needs a bit of work.

- Should have buried them at 15min mark of the 1st
- over finnessing the ball

Biggest CON for the entire match:

- Although we were wininng Carlton supporters behind me in the social club found every reason to bag our players constantly ....You wouldnt have thought we were winning all DAY....

I can imagine you didn't enjoy it much but if you are going to post this sort of stuff in a public forum you are no better. A lot of people are very offended by this sort of blasphemy, me for one. Please bear that in mind before you write it.

Nah I don't mind what outer81 said. It's good to vent at times. I had the same issue with constantly annoying supporters where I had my reserved seats for MCG games. It go so annoying that I moved seats, only to find that these morons have their reserved seats next to me at Telstra Dome home games. These guys take the cake, whilst everyone else celebrated they looked depressed when JUdd kicked his goal. Unbelievable, why even go to games if you cant enjoy them?

Not sure how to feel as Port didn't turn up to play but here it goes:

Pros
- even spread of contributors across the field and with goalkicking.
- we look more dangerous with both Walker and Kreuzer up forward.
- good performances from our 1st and 2nd year players.

Cons
- should have won by a lot more which would have boosted our precentage above St Kilda's.

Pros:
1. We have very good flankers now (Grigg, Walker, Scotland, Simpson).
2. Defensive pressure has gone up a notch: Kreuzer, Walker, Armfield have added a lot.
3. We are getting something out of Wiggins every week, and he is not letting us down in any way
4. Carrazzo has obviously put the 'long kick' in the rack and has realised he is best off short passing. As a result, he has really turned his form around the last two weeks and is on fire IMO. Hard running, winning contests, not fumbling, making good decisions, stopping opposition mid/forwards. Using the ball well. He just cant create with kicking but given everything else he does, who cares?
5. Waite has sealed his All Australian selection

Cons:
1. Fisher's kicking is getting worse.
2. Cloke is too slow but they keep playing him (and will continue to do so)
3. our general field kicking is substandard and needs to improve

Perfect summation windows...or should I say I agree with you.

Another Con was watching the forwards spoil each other, but then that would have created bread and butter goald had Bettsy been there.

The pressure we put on showed huge improvement in our intensity this year. It's good to look at Port yesterday, because that's where we were last year and the year before.

Con: why do we seem to have only one player who is referred to as a crumber/goalsneak?

As bondi says, there were some bread and butter crumber's goals which should have been grabbed by a crumber, but Eddie was out. So who do we have who can fill that role when Eddie's injured, or when he's tagged, or when he's being rotated somewhere else?

Walker filled Eddie's role yesterday with some minor variations.

At centre bounces Walks was standing exactly where Eddie would in the setup, 15 metres ahead of Fev

Grigg best player in the first half and a very good game
Gibbs -excellent again
Judd - enough said
Murph - tough at footy
Kreuzer - leads well as a forward
Jamison - excellent - interestingly Acker was commenting on how strong he is and quick for such a tall defender
Better spread of goalkickers
Andrew Walker -lets hope he plays all of 2009 -has certainly improved the team since coming back
Hampson continue to play -must get more games into hom
Armfield and Browne two excellent pick ups from last years draft
Waite
Con
Missed Eddies crumbing
Forward line on occasions -3 players flying for marks Fisher Kreuzer and Fev
Kicking for goal diabolical -lost last week because of it
Port put the cue in the rack - lack of defensive pressure shocking
Motlop -so much talent but
Even considering Brogan as a trade would be ridiculous
Should have won by 100

WOW........first game in god knows how long that i haven't had to worry!

PROS:-

Fev had a bad day but still kicked 4 goals!

Walker was awesome. Think how good of a season he would have had had he not injuured himself.

GIBBS! - Awesome Awesome Awesome. Best game in the navy blue?

GRIGG - RSN? Told you this kid was gonna be good. Sure, i picked him for the Rising Star award which he might not win but i always had confidence in this kid and he will be a star for us!

MURPHY - Made up for a poor match last week with an A+ performence today!

ARMFIELD - Glenn Archer Mark II? How good was the diving save and recovery 30sec into the game.

KRUEZER - KOSI Mark II?

The fact that we kicked 18 goals yet Fev had just 4. This is a HUGE positive.......but jesus we should have downed em by 100.

Also........we opened the centre and used it../.....i love watching us do that. It's just so.......dare i say it.........SPECIAL to watch Judd, Murphy an Gibbs speed down the middle instead of contesting a long bomb in hope kick along the wing.

WAITE...... Was everywhere

WIGGENS MARK...... Holy Shit! Anybody YouTubed this yet!

CONS:-

well, not too many to be honest apart from our kicking....... We could have damn well been in the 8 if Collingwood lost and we kicked straight.

Fisher. Oh My Good God......what the hell are we gonna do with him. Love him, but jesus he was lucky to even kick those 2 goals. Shocking dissposal all day.

I think the oportunities KK is referring to was when we had Fev and Kreuzer and Fish at times competing for the mark and Walker wasn't around, in fact at times was creating the play further upfield, and as they spoiled each other there were loose balls to crumb; effectively there was no one in that role a lot of the game to take advantage.

I'm sure we'll learn from that, and when we start to believe that it will be 'normal' that we create so many opportunities at the feet of our targets. It will be bleedingly obvious even moreso as we naturally improve and put the ball in the hot spot week in week out.

It's going to happen.

I reckon Steve Browne would be well suited to this role in partnership with Eddie.

Carrazzo lots of possessions -about 80 % or more efficiency - is a scapegoat when we lose but has once again had a consistent and prolific season

I mean what I say, sorry I cant be analy retentive and punctuate it for you p12, didnt know you need help thinking thats ok. You come across as a guy when asked a question if there is no ? on the end you will ignore it. Anyway this isnt about you..never was, its a PROS and CONS about the game from my perspective.. and I was there.

So I apologise for repeating what some so called "carlton" supporters said. Its no reflection on me as Im actually better then those people AND I hope the guy im referring to read it.. thats all taff no blasphemy, Im sick and tired of going to the game and hearing so called supporters constantly bag our players thats the difference ...... bad enough on here ..... this is a public forum your right who ever censored me, yeah so is a football ground its public and if I have to put up with it there I was hoping the dropkick was on this public forum.. So he can hear my opinion.. as he didnt take much notice yesterday when I told him to can it.

Anyway moving forward.....
