Diamotism,

I am sure if you love Brown so much, that Brisbane would welcome your membership.

I cannot believe all your negativity towards Fev.

This is the guy who has made Carlton popular in our dismal years, do you think we would have had 30 thousand members over the last couple of years if it wasnt for him. I think not.

He is the only one I have enjoyed watching over the last 5-6 years.

Yes I barrack and support Carlton, not one player but he does form part of Carlton.

Your tirade is getting boring.....................

So are you one that cheers Fev when he kicks those magnificent goals or do you go PFFTT...............

Get real, we are not getting Brown, nor do I want him...... So then you not only want to trade Fev, but you want to give up another good player and picks.

We cannot keep on doing this year after year. We have the nucleous of a good team, and we need to build to it. Unfortunately for you, Fev is very important to this process and we must give him help in the forward line.

I support the BLUES not Fev. Fev has let my club down many times and simply I have had enough. When we were at the bottom of the ladder, he did his very best to bring the Carlton brand down to the gutter. I don't forget stuff like this.

He owes the club for the crap he has put us through and without Carlton he would not be in the position he is in now. If Callam Beasy, Luke Livingston and Lance Whitnall were all gun forwards and still playing now, Fev would have been gone long ago but we had nobody which is why he has had 15 chances. Enough is enough now and we must learn from past mistakes.

I do admire J. Brown and that is because I love football, but the only reason I mention J.Brown is because some people on this website think they are clever by comparing the two.

If Fev stays (which I think he will) then I will support the decision by the club. If Carlton decide to let him go then I will also support this decision.

I support the club number one!!!

If Fev leaves will you buy a Carlton membership?

The fire hydrant?
The dry cleaners?
The headlock incident?
Peeing on a window?
Hugging St Kilda players after a loss?
Giving away 50 metre penalties?

Which one of those has dragged the brand down to the gutter exactly?

Granted some of that is childish behaviour, but to say it has dragged the Carlton brand down to the gutter is absurd.

The salary cap indiscretions, leaking boards, shocking Presidents, for example, Smorgon telling everyone we were broke on TFS, Marcus Rose saying we were the new Fitzroy..........that's what dragged our brand down. Not FEV peeing on some @#$%&! window.

Get a grip!

I'm with you Fevola.

Regardless of what Fevola, Lappin, Dorotich, Rhys Jones, WOW Jones, Harmesy, Buckley, Jezza...(look most of our greats have done something to tarnish the club 's image..things that I know of, let alone all the stuff I don't), whilst they have only worn one great Dark Navy Blue jumper (with the exception of Williams, The Hyphen, Clape, Pearce, Wells....did prior to seeing the light,,,dark navy blue), they do not deserve to be tarnished with that dispicable Black and red jumper or any other.

Wait till they cross that line...ala Campo, Hamill, then ridicule them.

In the meantime, lets hope they improve and be a piece of the puzzle for that 17th Flag.

IMO, Fevola is an angel compared to some of the greats of the past. What has he really done that's so bad? Headlock, pissing, fire hydrant, Bingle.....so what. If that's all I ever did, then I'd be an angel.

We're all human, so lets concentrate on the footy rather than ridiculing our own. We are civilised at Carlton, we do not feast on our own; it's not a good/smart thing to do.

Do yourself a favour and read Buckley's article in the Age today. Players are shopped around, there are no absolutes, and even Buckley was booed and jeered by his own when supporters THOUGHT he hadn't signed a contract and going to the new team Port Adelaide. Buckley went on to forge a brilliant career with the pies, and I bet many of those who booed him will deny they did (but ddep down regret it), whilst they watched him remain loyal and become one of the great footballers for them and in the history of the game.

Don't be fooled and jump at shadows.

Don't throw stones in glass houses.

Thankfully time heals all wounds; for some.

Give us a flag Fev and I bet all will be forgiven; that's all we want.

In the meantime, Fev is a Carlton player who WAS our only shining light in our dark years, who DID GIVE US something to look forward to every weekend, let alone win us a few games off his own boot (not an easy thing to do) and today IS one of the great forwards and STARS of the game for his football ability; don't forget he kicked 6 goals for Victoria and won the EJ Whitten medal and won a Coleman medal in a spoon team for US.

Fair rap sheet I would think, but for the life of me I still can not understand the furore over the hugging incident, in my day it was expected that you had a few beers after the game with the guys you played against. It was called sportsmanship and where many a story was gotten 'straight' prior to the tribunal.

At least Fev didn't piss on them.

Excellent doof.

The fire hydrant? Fair enough. But it was almost ten years ago.
The dry cleaners? Houlihan
The headlock incident? Fevola was representing Australia at he time.
Peeing on a window? Silly, but hardly a hanging offence.
Hugging St Kilda players after a loss? So?
Giving away 50 metre penalties? So?

You need to read a blog called The Speccy DIAMOTISM if you want to inform yourself a little better on footballer's indiscretions off the field. Given Fevola has never been charged with any offence, at all, it's sanctimonious at best to whinge and bleat about his "long list of off-field indiscretions".

Fevola has almost singlehandedly given Carlton a profile during a period of woe. That's why the kids flock to him. His teammates love him. His coaches love him.

You may be sick of him. That's tough luck I'm afraid. Sucks hey?

The difference between Fev and Brown.

Fev and his missus own a resturant in the city, not sure if they give it up or run it from interstate.

Brown's missus has just opened a beauty salon out the back of a massive house in Brissie they purchased 6 months ago. She's got her own studio there - they have settled down.

Brown isn't going anywhere. He isn't shopping himself around (not saying that Fev particularly is)...

...Brown will be at the Lions for the rest of his career... as long as they don't embarrass him with a shithouse offer.

I thought you were going to explain the difference between Fev and Brown.

You managed to point how similar their situation is.

Differences:
One has cotton wool beteen the ears and one does not
One is a leader and one is not.
One has 3 premierships and one has not.
One has all fans loving him and one has not.
One has his coach and match committee full support and one has not.
One wants 5 years and one wants 3 years.
One is a superstar and one is not.
One is from Dandenong and one is from Warnabool.
One shows effection to the oposition and one loathes the oppoisition like it is a battle in the roman days.
One keeps trying and one does not.

None of which has anything to do with their contract negotiations.
