Syd.. you do know and comprehend our best chance of going to the G was when we were asked to go to the G... and Elliot the visionary said "nah... not to the G.. whats there??.. im building my ivory tower at PP"
The guy was a muppet!!!
Yes i know he loves the club and thought he was doing whats best for this club..... (but it was now the AFL.. not the VFL..... and the world has changed and it was going to continue changing at a rapd pae)
Elliot had us rooted to aplace that was becoming obsolete... his "Carlton never rebuild" mantra was the stuff la la is made of...
.. and his understanding of stuff like list management .. drafts and salary caps was zilch!!!
Unfortunately the good teams especially those interstate teams without the legacies of the past were going about their business moving and setting themselves up into the future....not the past!!!
If they were still playing there the stands had value - Ask Geelong
If he had us rooted he ought to be congradulated for not holding a grudge and help convince Pratt to come and rescue them - and there is no denying that . and for Pratt to have him right by his side for everyone to see there can not be any doubt that between the two of them they have turned this club back round to where it was before they left
Supporters should be grateful
When Elliot went the money / sponsors went with him
memo to Syd.. were not a country town that will get money from the govt for local business....
We didnt have sponsors.....when Elliot left....
I seriously doubt you comprehend the world as it is....
Why would a big company want corporate seats at a delapidated PP over the other state of the art venues they can choose to entertain???
Did you ever see ours???
Look.. stop it!!!
Youre embarassing yourself...

Synbad, still many, many, axes to grind in this world. Still someone to blame.
