I dont know much about Aisake but i think we should count our losses with Setanta. I dont think he's good enough and he's no longer young...im pretty sure he's turning 25 this year.

I don't agree with the assessment of the brothers but (unfortunately) I do believe it is an accurate assessment of how they are viewed by the current coaching staff - none of whom were coaches at the club when the brothers arrived.

Coaching effectively requires good communication skills - have you heard Lappin try to communicate with other players?

don't see what the problem is, if the brothers have a bad attitude, or perhaps are petulant, or sooks, or underdone, unfit, or whatever then that should make them certainties for a senior spot under the current criteria ...

To be honest am getting maddened by this talk. bottom lip is almost bitten off.
Hope I dont become annoyed enough to start on this subject as would like to stay well clear.

Bananas thread... If you've ever met any of the brothers you would know that they don't drink, don't smoke, work their asses off and are extremely professional. But yet they have threads like this started about them. The original poster should be ashamed. There are always going to be communication issues when working with Irishman that are not natural AFL footballers, but to take it to this level is ridiculous.

Agree nyt. it seems to me that the real issue here is ongoing and proper communication, along with the issue of our current coaching structure and development system with the bullants.

obviously the club wanted more control over the bullants after the recent fiasco with pagan/mitchell, but the current system is bizarre it seems to me.

teague and lappin as playing coaches? can't see their qualifications for this role, or the upside in having a playing coach at this level. anyone who has played competitive sport knows that it is hard enough to focus on playing your part in the game, let alone managing and advising everyone else. on top of this, are teague and lappin sufficiently respected to get the job done?

it seems we have gone from one extreme (pagan/mitchell stand-off) to the other. will be interesting to see how it pans out.

certainly hope that any issues in positive and useful communication with not just the ohailpins but all players can be overcome.

No one is questioning there hard work and dedication.

The issue is they sound like a broken record and if they don't get it now they never will. They continue asking the same questions week in week and some of the players try and avoid contact. They don't listen to and haven't listened to fitness and conditioning staff and overdue things that hamper there progress. I brought this up a while back and if either of them were to make it would be Aisake

Well................ This sucks!

I don't know if this is bullshit or not, but i for one am still fuming that Setanta has been dropped.

Watch him kick a goal and grab at the CFC emblem with passion and pride and tell me he doesn't want to be out there.

But regardless of that, if his attitude is what the post said.............. is it any different to that of Fevola? Should we drop him too?

Or Stevens for his beer gut and piss-poor on-field actions last week? Should we drop him?

I don't know what's going on............... but i want it fixed and soon.

I wont comment on the ohailpin boys other than I want them to succeed - however to answer the above questions - yes and yes - I would have dropped them years ago and would be looking to offload them at the end of this year
