Some of the crap being written in this thread is astounding
I couldn't agree more but then again it's a forum board, it attracts hysterical crap. He has a p!ss, ok for you and me but for a footballer who kicks around a bag of wind, it's different. Given he was up at 4am, punish somehow but let's not go stupid and emotional.
I'm talking about the apologists.
I could only imagine how different many people's tunes would be if this were a Collingwood or WC player.
I would not give a toss who it was. I actually feel sorry for the players when they get done. If they are drink driving, they lose their license, but on top of that they get suspended and usually atleast $5000 ontop of that by the AFL.
And if they break a curfew of 1am, then they get suspended or some other BS. A AFL player means you can't have a social life at all. The curfew would mean you cant even go out after 1am and not even be drinking and you break the rule. Basically, you can't do any bucks nights, go to any bday parties, functions and stay out after 1am. Sure u can go have a couple drinks but how ridiculous in this day in age we have curfews. I dont agree with Fev being out at 4am, but i'm sure he will come out and kick a bag. Fev being drunk 5 days before a game wont affect his performance at all on Thursday. Alcohol doesn't affect your body that much, but you dont want younger players doing it aswell.
Put it this way, l read about the fev article today.
Willie Mason: Was fine last month for pissing a public place.
Sonny Bill Simmons (NRL star): Fined for pissing outside a night club. He was fined $650
Now i think this is being a bit blown out of proportion. If Fev receives more then just a fine this is ridiculous
