Out of interest.....I've just checked the Herald Sun article on today's AFL Meeting; and like The Age......not a word about Dick Pratt.

So.....The Age and The Herald Sun don't see fit to include it in their AFL Meeting preview; yet Patrick Smith headlines Pratt as being the prime subject to be discussed at today's Meeting; and only gives a few words about the AFL Drug problem; and the proposed 17th AFL Team.... :!:

Well stupid idiot SEN just mentioned that the AFL commission will be discussing Pratt today. They asked that other idiot Rita (Moron) and asked her opinion and she said he is like cousins and should be asked to speak to Commission to plead his case as he is basically a criminal and has bought the game into disrepute.

Are they all idiots or what ???????????????

I sent off a protesting email to the Australian about the vendetta this morning for what it's worth.

Unfortunately again for Patrick is the fact the AFL has no rule in place to prevent Pratt being our President, unless they buy 36k memberships to out vote us current members? That i would see as a good thing anyway

Furthermore the AFL cannot do anything about Visy sponsoring Carlton as they would then need to remove Qantas as a Partner.

Lets hope the AFL do discuss Pratt and clear his name so we still have time to send Patrick a christmas card of Santa Photoshopped with Pratt's face and recycled by Visy

Unfortunately; the AFL are intent on extending the Rules about players bringing the game into disrepute into including all Officials connected to any AFL Club doing the same.....I.E. Pratt's "white collar" crime; although a Civil Case; could be construed as being untoward to the game?....who knows?....I think it's a stretch personally, to punish an unpaid President who has already paid the price of his "crime".

I'm pretty sure the AFL are about to introduce a new policy regarding character questioning. When this is implemented they then can act on Richard Pratt.

To be honest and its my opinion i think Dick should step down immediately. He committed and was wound guilty of a corporate crime. He had full knowledge and gave his approval to the price fixing.

When the AFL decide to posthumously chastise Ron Evans, that is when I will accept the same for Dick.

On the count of 3, everyone, hold your breath until that day arrives.

Then Melvey, the AFL and clubs can hand back the millions of dollars they get from Qantas

Which is?

Patrick Smith's campaign?

Or the fact our president was found guilty of price-fixing?

Fatprick Smith of course.

What Pratt did was and has nothing to do with the Carlton Football Club.

I am not even sure he deserved a fine as well, when airlines, petrol companies, retail corporations fix prices as well.

It won't happen Melvey.

If they bring in the new code of conduct then it will not apply retrospectively - not a chance in hell.

Can you imagine the AFL delisting all of the players who have misbehaved over the previous years as soon as they bring this new code in. The game would be brought to its knees by supporter backlash.

The new code will apply prospectively to all new breaches. Kind Richard will be fine! (I know this isn't what you want to hear though)

Exactly, every Blues supporter should bombard SEN with calls saying the exact same thing.

Plenty of players in the AFL Hall of Fame - would have to be removed retrospetively under this scenario.

There is at least one from our club I could name but I wont. 8)

But for the heck of it Des Tuddenham would have a few plastic footballs and cases of lemonade to return if he wanted to keep his spot - I am sure Fatprick Smith would be heading that campaign.

The people involved with the Qantas scandal are not overseeing a football club and have no personal involvement with any AFL club or the AFL.

Come on, be serious here. If this was Eddie Mcguire we would be into him in a big way.

I used to think highly of Richard especially with the support for the arts..... but saying that, the money he donates comes from the 350 million he robbed from us.

This man has everything and its still not enough. Its called greed

I'm sorry but conspiring to rip off us australians to the tune of 750 million over 5 years is a far worse crime then getting drunk in public, taking drugs or what ever dumb footballers get them selves into.

Imagine if they both had not been found out, en extra billion in there own pockets.

The man is a billionaire, i work hard for my money and don't need some billionaire robbing me of it.

Time to move on, set the club free to prosper with out this dark cloud over our head and constant referring to Richard Pratt the crook, thief etc.

Look as long as Smith doesen't say anything defamatory about Pratt, making a complaint would only make it worse in my opinion.

If we complain, it will turn it into a really big issue. Fact is freedom of speech gives Smith every right to headhunt Pratt if he wants.
