Some of you posters,
Have you ever played a teamsport??
Sorry about the sarcasm, but you play as a team.
If you are a senior player as he is now, you lead by example.
He doesnt and he never will consistently.
Why he has been kept is he can play
But since I posted previously, not one of you posters have mentioned his body
Its not the shoulder or the busted up hands or the dodgy thigh i am concerned about its his groin.
He was operated on at the end of 05 . It now has scar tissue and we have all seen players on a downward spiral from around his age.
Given his obviously child liked tantrums and baby brain trapped in a man's body syndrome, his spit the dummy routines will increase if his body started packing it in.
Have a look at the 2 best teams in the competition. Both Geelong and West Coast have multi options up forward and their midfielders contribute goals as well. They have Mooney and Lynch. Is Fev better than these 2 guys
Granted Fev takes the best backman which makes Fish and cos job easier, but IMO the negatives now outweigh the positives.
I would hate to see Fev play on be less effective and be more trouble than he is worth in a team game.
We have Kennedy, Betts ,Fisher, Waite maybe Hartlett as well who I think if he gets his legs right could make a effective CHF. Maybe Hampson the O"Hailpin brothers as well.
The bottom line in this argument is this
If you were going to trade Fev you would do it this year because if we dont any value he has will be lost I reckon.
Two of the last 3 years his body hasnt lasted a whole season.
Have a look at King(true blue brad are you listening) at Geelong. He was given a few weeks to see if he could cut the mustard in senior footy.
He is gone because his body doesnt allow him to jump higher enough and his sideways mobility is shot to pieces. And this from a ruckman, physical tools that are more important to a Full Forward.
Fev has stood out because he has played in a shithouse team.
That team will get better as he falls away.
I say trade him now if the right deal is found.
To totally dismiss any option to trade him is the sort of ignorance that has landed this club in the shit its been in in the last few years.
The only one sooking is you! He's contracted for next year, the coach said he is required! Get over it and support your champion players!
Game I aint sooking and I am just expressing an opinion.
Its what I think is right.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Fev has 1 year to go on his contract.
If he is staying as you suggest well then he needs a change of some sorts.
If he is the gun that many posters say he is then play him further up the ground(CHF leading to the centre)
This might make him a bit more team orientated.
The fact that he is staying doesnt make my points irrelevent.
Time will be the greatest tell sign wont it.
