I have thought long and hard about this and its been very difficult to narrow down Carlton's 3 greatest wins.
Any poster of my vintage will know that going to Princes Park on a Saturday Afternoon during the late 70s to mid 80s was a fantastic experience.
You would go to the football not HOPING to win, but you would go KNOWING you would win, it was sensational times - the cocky opposition supporters crowing at 1/2 time because they were 2 or 3 goals up or even 2 or 3 goals down thinking they still had a chance to win.
Carlton would then respond with an 8 to 12 goal quarter and have the game wrapped up at 3/4 time.
Project for Jarusa - our win/loss ratio from 1978 to 1985 at Princes Park.
But I will take a shot at my best 3 Carlton Games relating to how affectionately I remember them and what they mean to me.
1. 1972 Grand Final - because Dad took me and my sister, dont know how he got the tickets - pretty sure they were scalpers, but dont remember how much - he got 2 adult tickets and was able to bring me an my sister in on 1 adult ticket (try doing that today

).
It was the first final I went too - and I had hated Richmond since those bastards beat us in the 1969 Grand Final.
I had a Carlton Jumper with Number 2 on the back (Big Nick) and I waved it in the air after each Carlton Goal (28 of them

).
2. 1979 Grand Final - this is the Grand Final where I got in on a 60cent junior ticket (as a 17 year old) under cover in the old Northern/Olympic Stand, smuggled in a couple of bottles of champagne and celebrated profusely with my cousin.
Went to school on Monday Morning and made up for 6 years of crap I copped at High School where Carlton's lack of success was driven home to me constantly by the majority of Collingwood supporters - who up till then had not won a flag in 21 years. curious lot arent they.
3. Has not been played yet - but it will be the Grand Final we win when I am sitting with my children Miss Agro and Master Agro.
If the NAB Cup wins are anything to go by then this win is going to be particularly sweet

- and will be followed by a detour to Princes Park after the game via AFL House where appropriate slogans will be daubed on their front doors.
