30 goals 30 behinds - has a special significance to those of us who can remember that game against Hawthorn in 1969.
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
I was still pretty young to understand the nuances of the game,

but I'd seen enough games to know that was no ordinary game; that was HEAVEN.
I was on that cloud for so many beautiful years (emoticon for content) till the Swans beat that longstanding record on a small cricket ground, but not an Aussie Rules ground!
Since then, heaven means heaven to me because it was achieved fair and sqaure on a real footy ground, and it was and still remains last century's greatest score ever.
But since that Swans game I've had a gripe, and that game doesn't only remind me of that one heavenly game in 1969.
I suppose even if we do kick 30 or 40 goals to 1 behind, we'll always have some kind of a gripe.
Great review jimmae.
You've been in top form this year.

Really enjoying your analysis this year and written to eloquently.
Walker is still in my Top 5 players in the whole AFL in 2007 (and I've watched every game on TV); and imo he's definetely the game's most damaging HBF in the whole comp. Potentially for the rest of this decade.
So far in 2007 Walker has been better than experienced Carlton captain, Lance and Chris Judd who was regarded as the game's best player in 2007. Not bad company.
And he's ours.
