IMO some posts in debates recently on the site have not been constructed in the manner you have just described. I am not saying that that is the way they should be done and thats it I just hate thoughtless criticism. The method of debate you have described shows thought and thats all good!!
Then stay out of the debate.
All debate is healthy if the people conducting it are getting something out of it, no matter what that is. So long as it stays within the site regulations, it belongs here.
My point above is that saying "your posts aren't constructive" is elitist drivel. You just stay out of the debate, or find a creative way of making a comment about that debate. Like the "Get Jonathon Brown' thread... I mean, many of us have had a go, but in parody on the initial post.
You've got to be tolerant of other people's interests and methods. The fact that no one has been banned from the site since Saturday is evidence enough that this thread isn't necessary.
What you're doing is being elitist. You've changed now from saying people are over critical, to saying that now they post in a way that doesn't generate "proper" debate. Well, the fact that people respond to their posts is testimony against that.
COOPERFIDIES mate. Remember that. Everyone has a say... and there are site guidelines about what shouldn't be said. No one's crossed those, so, in the interests of respecting other people's right to love the Blues in the ways they want... its play-on.
I am not being elitist. I agree everyone has a right to their opinion - and hey what do you know I started this thread with what my opinon of where the CFC are at and some perspectives that I thought was relevant.
Unfortunately it would seem that my efforts have been misunderstood, and for that I sincerely apologise for offending anybody or creating a divisive front as you describe it. Wasn't my intention, so again I am sorry.
I note some more comments about Campo have been added. I do agree that he can be undisciplined and well being a vice captain its not a good thing for the younger kids in the team to be seeing.
Is there any merit in wanting all individuals in this team to aspire to take leadership roles on the ground, so that the load isn't concentrated on so few of the 'experienced net?
Just a thought...
I would suggest its in the best interests of team development that all players endeavour to be leaders on the field. It will also help in strengthening the unity of the team, and help each individual to step up to the next level. Anyway - thats just my opinion....
