OMG
A short time ago, Mitchell was being idolised as the guy the young players wanted to play under. So much so that they were torn between playing badly in the AFL so they could stay in the Bullants, yet wanting to avoid delisting as well. That was because Pagan was a nasty man who didn't have the ability to talk to them, and stopped them enjoying their footy.
Now, Mitchell is Public Enemy No. 1

He doesn't know how to handle young players and forces the young ones to flee Victoria entirely
You guys are an agenda looking for a reason to exist
If you guys think that Bower would have avoided sprays coming up the ranks, you know nothing about footy. If he didn't have the tenacity and character to absorb such criticism, he wouldn't have made it as far as he has.
Both Pagan and Mitchell are allowed to set tasks for their players and hold them to account if they don't complete them. And how on earth can a coach be criticised for doing this in a quarter/3quarter time huddle? What else do you think coaches do during those huddles, for Pete's sake? Having only 5 minutes or so, you really want the coach to have a diplomatic heart to heart with all of the players? HR skills - what a joke! Perhaps we need to have a secret ballot to see how the team feels about the coach's directions, and have a psychologist on hand to debrief the players before they go back
Anyone remember how Ryder had apparently fled the Scum over the Xmas break, apparently homesick? Stories circulated that they gave him a holiday to get over it. Odd then that he turned up at the next training session with the football department laughing at the reports. Anyone know for a fact that he has gone back to WA due to homesickness? Or is this one of the incredible beat-ups that we criticise the media for but love to push ourselves?
