Hahaha :D

Nice to see someone motivated to get to the bottom of the dealings of the club. Chances are we are a bit stale, but not completely languishing.

Can't find info on this guy on the web - fair enough though, working as a barrister usually doesn't put you on the radar. :P

Ok, I dug a little deeper and came up with a result on the victorian bar associations members search (duh).

http://www.vicbar.com.au/c.1.3.aspx?RollNumber=2182

Marcus Clarke

Qualifications: LL.B., B.Ec.

Areas of Practice:

Alternative Dispute Resolution/Mediation
Banking and Finance
Bankruptcy/Insolvency
Building and Construction
Commercial Law
Corporations and Securities

Intellectual Property
Property Law
Sports Law

Trade Practices

Obviously the bolded areas interest me the most. Add to that his dad is Ron Clarke, so he would have some involvement in elite sport at some point, me likey. Me likey much.

Bankruptcy / Insolvency background might come in handy.

:-D I agree, I think that both Marcus Clark and Greg Lee would be a breath of fresh air and appear to be exactly what this club needs at this point in time....

Have emerged in the media talking about the kinds of things they would want to see and do if they were on the board.

Can we have the campaigning on a sticky???

good to hear Clarke talking about leaving the past behind us and taking responsibilty .. also the call for a review is long overdue in my mind.
It would be good to have a guy on the board that understands fitness and the issues confronted by modern day athletes.

good to see them with their hands up and on the front foot.

Stickied, merged and thanks for the link. 8)

I don't have my voting papers yet. It seems that some people have them already. I am an AFL member with Carlton Club Support. Does anyone know when I can expect them? Thanks.

Same. I'm going to call the club today to check what the deal is.

I rang the membership dept, and a very helpful Nicole is going to resend the material to me.

When does voting close? She thought the 20th.

They didn't send my stuff out the first time, I phoned again and hopefully it's in the mail today. If not it's getting a bit ridiculous

I cannot find who posted it, but someone did post that the AGM is on at 5.00pm on the 27th?

According to the offical documents it will start at 7.30pm? Did i miss something?

Club told me yesterday it was 5pm.

I think a lot of confusion has been created regarding the time lines. The 5 PM is related to the deadline for voting. The AGM is 7.30 PM on the 27th.

This should also ensure people can attend. I will!

Craig Hart doesn't stand a chance at being voted on if we're still getting his name wrong.

I faxed the form back to the club last Thursday/Friday but I still haven't received anything so I mailed it yesterday.

If we can't even get this right it's no surprise the club is in the crapper!
