From what I've heard from decent sources, Greg Lee is seen as not only a committee member, but the man to take over from Collins in the next two years.

Given Lee's profile, I think he would be exactly the kind of leader we need.

100% correct - and I believe he wants it too.

Well, that is potentially the best news we've read on here since Marc Murphy got the gig.

I haven't read all 6 pages of this thread yet, and I know what I will ask will touch a raw nerve with many people. Perhaps it has already been asked.

Why is Sticks' position on the board sacrosanct?

The way I figure it, he is the sole remaining board member who presided over the farcial situation from a few years ago and has remained unscathed in all this.

He obviously loves the club but for crying out loud, he didn't stand up to Elliot and fall on his sword like Hunter. He just took it all in his stride and because he was a champion player, everyone overlooks the fact that he had a role in the darkest financial days of our club.

I for one will not be saddened if he is not re-elected.

Because he is Stephen Kernahan and the voting members love him.

I think he's had a fair run and needs to move on.

He still took 7 marks in the last quarter vs Melbourne in 1990. Our forwars can't take that many marks in a whole game now.

he can do whatever he likes :-D

I tried to answer this earlier.

He is there because instead of nice old ladies voting for business people they vote for people they have watched play for the Navy Blues.

Yes. I recieved both my voting form and the proxy form in the mail two days ago.

Question...given that I recieved both forms, am I eligible to vote? Can't remember whether or not I ticked the voting box on my membership form.

I'd really like to see Greg Lee get on the board.

He's built a very successful recruitment company from scratch. Now think about it for a minute. His clients are all companies. He would have had to bang down doors to get companies to list their vacancies with him when he first started out.

This is the type of person needed on the board. Someone with some real "get up and go" attitude. I've never met Greg, although I have met the head of his Logistics Division (a handy full-back in his time :P ).

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/ ... 62,00.html

Have emerged in the media talking about the kinds of things they would want to see and do if they were on the board.

Can we have the campaigning on a sticky???

good to hear Clarke talking about leaving the past behind us and taking responsibilty .. also the call for a review is long overdue in my mind.
It would be good to have a guy on the board that understands fitness and the issues confronted by modern day athletes.

good to see them with their hands up and on the front foot.
