There are lots of positives to take out of this year, and they're all the young players who look like they've got *something*.

I mean, Carroll was delisted this time last year and he seems like he's got the skillset to make it. Cowan has cemented his place in defence. O'Farrell wasn't on the list 12 months ago, and, knee injury notwithstanding, looks like the future of the backline. O'Keefe has lots to work on, but he clearly has some fight in him. Moir also has lots to work on, but he's shown he can play at the highest level. Lord played a whole host of roles in the middle, and looks like he can be a player.

That's 1/4 of the side who got proper exposure this year* and look like the future.

(*I realise Cowan is a bit ahead of these guys in experience)

Spot on

The gems are shining up nicely.

5 you mentioned is like you said almost a quarter of a team.
Better than what SOS gave us with picks after 30 (TDK the exception)

I'd arguw we found late gems that were better than most of SOS' first round picks.

I wonder if the club saw what was coming last year and started tweaking the list then - moving players out bringing in kids (and going so heavily after Jagga)
Add Dean and (fingers crossed) Walker next year
plus who we draft this year and next
Im plonking the house on 2028!

I think this.

1. Charlie no pre season, moving like a freight train without brakes
2. Our president, whom we are meant to trust, completely humiliates the club.
3. Jagger does his knee
4. We @#$%&! up round 1 and due to external noise and internal struggles, we can't bounce back
5. TDK confides in some players that this is his last year - which breaks the player bond
6. Toxic player/s impacting on young players in a negative way
7. Harry takes time off due to mental health
8. Charlie confides in some mates that he isn't happy
9. There is general distrust and unrest
10. Line in the sand, either @#$%&! off, or stay with us
11. Good footy starts to creep back in.

What a shocking disaster ......surely some good luck needs to find the Carlton Football club.
