bondi, Cowan isn't available
Thanks CK95.
I doubt Young would be making an appearance with no 'feel' for his team mates.
But as a sub he could have an easy role ... unless there's an early injury.
One of the Emergencies Ive listed White or Motlop ... prefer White, and please no Motlop as a ball watcher in the midfield rotations. I don't think he's won a clearance in all the CBs he's attended this year.
Massive difference in the two samples (which is the problem, imo), but he’s currently winning the centre clearance at a better clip than Cripps.
Centre clearance per CBA:
Motlop 12.5%
Cripps 10.2%
—————
Hewett 13%
Cerra 14.8%
Walsh 5.1%
De Koning 7.3%
I get your point, if I made it sound like White is better than Mots, I didnt mean that. I had neither in my team.
I was told last week. Motlop attended 3 CB's last game, won none, attended 3 previous week, won none, and I think the same before that game. The point was he's not that good in the midfield to warrant carrying him as a small forward. You may disagree bc his % is better than Cripps.
OK, you poked me, here's my thoughts on Motlop as the third best CB midfielder at the club.
So every 10 CBs Motlop wins 1.2. OK. implying Cripps is worse at CB's than Motlop. That's the point isnt it?
Mots has won 1 in 12 CBs with no opponent and being fresh as a daisy. OK. Fk he's amazing based on those %. Therefore he should be on more money than Cripps and Cripps should be replaced by Motlop at CB bc the numbers say so. I wonder if Motlop has even attended 20 CBs this year in total....nah, I don't need to know that. I'll leave my feel on the eye test at CBs Motlop has attended in the last month which reflects why I dont have him in my first 22.
Maybe the % does paint a clear picture for people who put all their faith in stats, but that % does not convince me that Cripps is not as good as Mots in the midfield. IMO it highlights Cripps is in the CB when he shouldn't be, when either fatigued or tagged ie doesnt share the load enough
I'm sure Motlop doesn't attend the CB when fatigued let alone have an opponent like Cripps does, and that's probably what inflates his numbers. I bet Motlops numbers since his form has been in the spotlight are far worse than Cripps.
I get your point, but lets not compare thoroughbreds in Group 1 with donkeys in the Bush.
There's a huge difference in the raw numbers when measuring actual number of times Cripps and Motlop attended, so a comparison in % doesn't give me a true picture of Motlops form in there.
More importantly, I'd back that Motlop has failed to win a CB in a game moreso than Crippa.
