No, its food for thought braithy.
Its facts we should be dealing with. The good and the bad.
Greek word Pragma means fact.
If I listened and joined you and the other pessimists (note, not pragmatists) I'd be sooking, sitting in misery and asking why the world is so bad to me., and throw all my toys out and barrack for the Australian Swimming team to ensure I have gold at the end of the meet, but then have to wait 4 years between games and twiddle my thumbs whinging that the wait is too long.
I've taught my kids bout defeat.
Sure they hurt, and ask why we lose when we do.
Instead of giving up, I give them a piece of my mind, with reason, and they wake up to themselves, and move on living life.
It doesn't do any good just constantly winging.
I got a nephew who runs one of those Carlton You tube channels.
He doesn't want to hear anything positive.
Is that rational?
Sounds like a loser mentality if ever I saw one.
Anyway, makes good discussion. We are not that far off. Apart from round 1 result, we haven't been disgraced on the scoreboard in any game. FACT.
The numbers don't lie. They show, despite our inability to score more from entry, we still scored more than the teams you admire and want to replicate, GWS, Geelong and PM: potential finalists.
That tells me, that with a bit of luck and by taking our opportunities, not only could we have won the last 3 games, we can turn our fortunes around.

I was frustrated on Thursday night, and even moreso when I watched all the pessimism on the fan sites, then realised its a loser mentality and not reality.
I don't blame kids who haven't seen success for being frustrated, but this end of the world stuff is really Orson Welles territory. Fictious story the Aliens have landed.
The season's book is made up of 23 chapters, and you have only read 3 chapters, and you know the ending already. Notradamus mate. The only thing that is fictitious is your predictions grasshopper.
My season isn't over till its mathematically over, and I'll still make sure I watch my team live, or, from any corner of the world, because they are my team. I love the Baggers win or lose.
I will continue to constantly look for clues as to where we are really at, where we are going and what we need to do to win a Flag, and share those thoughts. Its a hobby.
