Snapper is an idiot - SEN only put him air to reinforce the trope that we are all idiots.

Now John from Mill Park (Collingwood nuffy) - you can tell has false teeth but has that nasty and unintelligent lower bogan class sneer in his voice - he needs to be punched in the face very very hard.

Hopefully the pessimists have enjoyed a breather over the weekend.

Losing Team.......For ...... Margin

NM....................78 ........... 36
Carlton .............75 ....... 7
WCE .................68 ......... 38
GWS .................64 ...........10
Geel .................61 ....... ...12
Port.................. 60 ...........12
Melb .................62 ............58
Ric ....................53 .............82

For all that's going wrong with our team, we kicked the 2nd highest score of the losing teams and lost by the least points.

Sure we haven't won any of the winnable games, but we put ourselves in a winnable position..

We are not that far off the Top 8 teams that beat us, top of the ladder, Hawks and 8th, Bulldogs.

Carlton will be pushing shit uphill with a rake to make finals after a 0-3 start, and if they do somehow manage it, it'll likely be just scraping in and then getting bundled straight out.
Looking at another wasted year.....

Is that where we’re at lmfao …

Painting ourselves as the best “loser” of the round?

We lost to Richmond who will after this year be a top 3 historically bad teams of modern afl … let’s just stop putting lipstick on this pig, Bondi

No, its food for thought braithy.
Its facts we should be dealing with. The good and the bad.
Greek word Pragma means fact.

If I listened and joined you and the other pessimists (note, not pragmatists) I'd be sooking, sitting in misery and asking why the world is so bad to me., and throw all my toys out and barrack for the Australian Swimming team to ensure I have gold at the end of the meet, but then have to wait 4 years between games and twiddle my thumbs whinging that the wait is too long.

I've taught my kids bout defeat.
Sure they hurt, and ask why we lose when we do.
Instead of giving up, I give them a piece of my mind, with reason, and they wake up to themselves, and move on living life.

It doesn't do any good just constantly winging.
I got a nephew who runs one of those Carlton You tube channels.
He doesn't want to hear anything positive.

Is that rational?

Sounds like a loser mentality if ever I saw one.

Anyway, makes good discussion. We are not that far off. Apart from round 1 result, we haven't been disgraced on the scoreboard in any game. FACT.

The numbers don't lie. They show, despite our inability to score more from entry, we still scored more than the teams you admire and want to replicate, GWS, Geelong and PM: potential finalists.

That tells me, that with a bit of luck and by taking our opportunities, not only could we have won the last 3 games, we can turn our fortunes around.

Today Doc said

Quote:
"Parts of our game are going really well but there's other parts (that are not).

"Probably the most frustrating part as a fan is when we're not using the ball very well, which is a big part of what's going on at the moment.

I was frustrated on Thursday night, and even moreso when I watched all the pessimism on the fan sites, then realised its a loser mentality and not reality.

I don't blame kids who haven't seen success for being frustrated, but this end of the world stuff is really Orson Welles territory. Fictious story the Aliens have landed.

The season's book is made up of 23 chapters, and you have only read 3 chapters, and you know the ending already. Notradamus mate. The only thing that is fictitious is your predictions grasshopper.

My season isn't over till its mathematically over, and I'll still make sure I watch my team live, or, from any corner of the world, because they are my team. I love the Baggers win or lose.

I will continue to constantly look for clues as to where we are really at, where we are going and what we need to do to win a Flag, and share those thoughts. Its a hobby.

Orson Welles?

Maybe H.G. Wells?

Or did you mean Greg Wells?

How can we be back here, again?

Don’t think I’ll ever see another flag in my lifetime. It’s like we are destined to never be true contenders again. If I had my time again, I’d allow my son to support another team. Brutal what they’re doing to us.

Club is in a very, very ugly position. Extremely choppy waters to navigate.

Round 3 are we are basically done.

Will we make the decisions required to salvage something from the season? I suspect not.

Could not be more Beyond Blue.

Bump. I need a mental health break. Beyond Blue.

Worst side in the comp.

Surely top 4 is out of the question now... we can all agree on that?

if we really want to get serious. 60 pts down in a semi verse lions. we kept the coaching unchanged - despite some big flaws and deficiencies; nevermind we ignored the need for a new voice and set of eyes on the line coaching side of things. rearranged the list for the worse, put all of our draft into one single kid, and somehow thought we'd be top 4 material.

i've been really baffled how some really high footy iq people here thought we would improve in 2025; when our trajectory was turning downwards.

we've lost 11 from our last 13.

100%. A strong part of me wants us to go the way of Fitzroy, but it's almost impossible to do these days.

a) get rid of the list managment team. Out of their depth. Nepotism hire. Completely [REDACTED] it up.
b) trade some A-listers who are only A-listers in Carlton supporters eyes. McKay and Walsh for starters.
c) review the football department. At a minimum, Greg Williams and some assistants get replaced.

Preseason & first 4 rounds have both been disasters.
