Dow bordering on undroppable- huge part of our 2nd quarter resurgence
He would be in my side. Playing well and a point of difference. The mix of Cripps Hewett (who is back to his best) Walsh Cerra Docherty & Dow is hard to beat. The question will be how we use them and can 1 or 2 of them be effective at HF for periods or does one play wing and we drop Hollands which would be harsh?
I have no idea how we will fit any of Walsh Cerra McGovern Boyd Fogarty Silvagni Kennedy into our side for the first final. Nice problem to finally have but there will be some very unlucky players
ofcourse you will find it hard to fit in any of Walsh Cerra McGovern Boyd Fogarty Silvagni Kennedy if you are also going to keep Dow in your side.
"Bordering undroppable" is a way of showing respect to Dow's games, but keeping in Dow "in [your] side,
ahead of Walsh and Cerra is imo is disrespectful towards Walsh and Cerra.
.
What crap
Nothing of the sort and I NEVER said ahead of them
I never said you did, but the point is how do you fit them all in, when, during the year Voss couldn't fit both Hewett and Kennedy as inside mids. Even with Kennedy out of the equation how does Dow fit in? With the high calibre ins we have coming in, is his point of difference what we really have a NEED from Dow, despite his hopeless efforts with defence.
Bloody oath it would be unfair to drop Hollands to fit in Dow. No question for me.
Its harsh to drop anyone, but if the squad remain fit and only have Williams out injured for the start of Finals campaign, as it looks for now, there has to be players who are going to miss, and I don't know how Dow misses the cut, along with Jonny come lately, Fisher, Motlop, hey maybe even Hollands who, unlike Dow, has been a stable, but Hollands missing would be to fit Doc or Walsh into the team because they are much better footballers than Hollands let alone Dow.
Have to be realistic; that's my point, or just say Dow deserves a spot but what's up against him is xyz.....not, he's a given. That's my opinion, unless I hear good reason for the opposite.
We are in athe best spot we've been with injury, and have to thank Andrew Russell and his team
