According to Hun, no interest out west for Zac F but north and hawks showing interest. North potentially interested in Dow and Marchy too.
Do we package them all up to north for one decent pick or trade them individually?
Do we look to get another pick or 2 in this draft or start banking points for the Campo twins?
I hope Marchbank breaks back into the team to remind everyone how much talent he has. Will also increase his value if Andrew Russell thinks March is injury prone if not a bloke whose just had bad luck in the past.
Playing Dow I believe has increased his value.Bottom line is we need picks to get good talent from the draft.
To whom?
If we table an offer, even if it’s one year on the minimum, he’ll take it. If we don’t, he’ll be a DFA.
I don’t see any scenario where he chooses to go elsewhere for a better offer. I don’t see any trade happening.
Do you think no other team is interested in Dow? I think so.
Do you think Carlton would keep him at a cost that suits us for depth? I think so.
You state a couple ‘ifs’ but seem dogmatic that he won’t chase the offers. I don’t get that logic.
What if I told you there is more than one team interested in him. There is.
What if I told you the club will offer him a contract that will be less than other clubs will offer him. I’m not talking low balling to get rid of him. I’m talking about an offer to remain as depth. If Dow wants to stay, we can even rookie him.
You’re blinded by your beliefs. There is 2 clubs interested in him, maybe 3.
All I’m saying is that his recent exposure in AFL, by selecting him, and with his stats looking good, despite his defensive shortfalls some of us see, his value goes up more than if he was stuck in the VFL every week. Pretty logical.
Let’s see how that pans out. It ain’t over till it’s over. A lot to play out between now and October.
