Sunday afternoon at Marvel suits us. Good break and on a ground we play well.
Need some structural changes and some reward for reserves. If Pittonet fit, Jack is dropped, if not he plays. Can't play all three. Picked a quicker more flexible side
B: Cincotta Young McGovern
HB: Newman Weitering Saad
C: Acres Cripps Hollands
HF: Durdin McKay Cerra
F: Motlop Curnow Fisher
Foll: Pittonet Kennedy Walsh
Int: TDK Binns Carroll Cowan Dow
Hewett E. Curnow Silvagni Honey for Cincotta Carroll Binns Dow
I really don't think Carroll and Binns are up to AFL right now. Carroll might play a role. I'm scarred from the game a couple weeks ago in the VFL, Binns vs bigger faster bodies. Wasn't funny and wasn't fair. Tigers had a VFL team play with hardly any AFL players of note, none really. Carroll, has played an outside role with Dow inside. NFO what he was playing on the weekend.
I guess you're saying Hewett and Curnow as inside mids lack the speed and flexibity
I don't like the sub to be a player's first game.
I'd like Dow in the mix. I think we need him to play a role with the mids. We have to try it and that would be at someone's expense.
We haven't got the rucks to stop a team with quick mids with a good ruckman. Dow can help there.
Crows perfect example of a dominant ruck to a brigade of quick mids. Ball tapped to space, far enough from the grips of Kennedy Cripps and Hewett, and off they're racing.
Happened all night. Crows were fresh all game. We didn't catch them...or couldn't catch them once they got their hands on it. They played "our way?"
I hope Pitto is OK. We need 2 rucks, MC tells us that week in week out. I agree. I'm not fussed if MC drop Jack, Ed. Honey Plowman, dunno about Hewett .
