This says it all IMO
AFL website talk more about us trying to finish top 4 than us maybe missing the 8
https://www.afl.com.au/news/798736/the- ... lide-againI reckon top 4 is a total pipe dream given our form the past 2 months
I'm happy if we finish 5th or 6th. With Bye week before Top 4 means less. As a young side we need to keep playing each week.
I think this upcoming game is a test for Voss and the leaders.
The season is in our hands.
Are we gonna blow it by dropping a game against GWS and leaving the door open?
Biclvas marking unattended in the goal square and neither SOS or Weitering going up in the ruck against Hawks was total amateur hour shit.
Cripps being tagged at centre bounces and Carlton again losing the clearance momentum in the first half.
Players shitting themselves and fumbling and handballing and kicking poorly because they were pressured and scared.
Are we going to draw a line in the sand now and cut out the unforgivable mistakes and truly harden up?
Losses to top 8 teams Collingwood, Richmond and Geelong says we need to pull our socks up.
We have averaged 5th on the ladder throughout the year.
Be interesting to see where we are in 5 weeks.
100% agree. I watched the replay last night and what it showed me is Geelong giving everything including some key plans to shut us down like Blicavs on Cripps. We didn't do anything we haven't done all year.
Did we lose the battle to win the war? Voss now has a clear idea of what Geelong will do to beat us.
We also have so much upside. I was there and it was as windy a game I have been to in years. We didn't handle it. We also made stupid mistakes with lack of communication not to mention poor discipline. These thinsg can be fixed easily
We also only lost by 5 goals to the top side with Cripps McKay Weitering Young Docherty well below their best.
I'm disappointed to lose but I see LOTS of upside. This week we get back Pittonet & McGovern. Soon Marchbank and hopefully Williams & Boyd. They are very important players to us and our structure. I expect a big bounce back this week
