What does the 5 goal run ons prove pray tell?
Well 23 times in 50 games proves he struggles to have any form of defensive game plan in his coaching kit bag. Sorry but if he wants to play with the big boys, has to be more than a 1 trick pony.
Do you think 23 x 5 goal runs is a good thing?
Regards CazzesmanNo, but I can appreciate why a team that finishes 10th to 15th on the ladder could have those run ons, when you consider that those run ons are literally a scoring sequence, we've spent most of the previous 4 years rooted to the bottom of the ladder and were generally uncompetitive from the precious 40 games (4 in 40 was Bolton's record at the end) with significant changes in personnel.
Its like stating that the team lacks cohesion and thats a coaching issue, and that's simply a matter of excessive list turnover for an extended period of time. Particularly compared to the rest of the afl.
This isn't about coaching at some point. Else we would get scored against at will like the port game every week like we did with Bolton who had a defensive game plan.
The best sides are well drilled, and the well drilled sides haven't had 10 years of 4 senior coaches with different philosophy about how to play and significantly high best 22 turnover. They have an air of stability which makes roles clear to execute and running patterns more predictable.
Anyway, that's our biggest problem and hopefully the next coach can iron it out, but I suspect it will continue at least for a little while next season.
