Mick's on point with this one.
...........and yet Blue Vain and bondi are spot on. I had the 'joy' of sitting next to him 3 times over 2 days at some meals.
Being the junior man, after the 2nd meal, I asked one of the others in attendance how it was that I kept ending up next to the Coach.
He had a sly grin and said....... 'because no one else whats to sit there and hear him talk about himself'.

I got the gist after the 3rd time. At least he didn't have to worry about me interrupting his train of thought.
Regards Cazzesman His comments are spot on. Our club culture is the only reason we hired him.
Lets not get carried away with malthouse and his paid article which most is filler, avoiding his responsibility in our demise.
In all that blabbering fiction he makes the point, and its an opinion piece, claiming
the Board was focused on the past, AND, the Board needs to focus on the future more. That's it. That applied to all clubs.
Its just HIS opinion FFS.
Effectively he lays the blame on the Board to deflect any fault he had in our demise. Sorry, doesn't cut it.
The same dick who didn't want to give Waite more than one season thinking Waite wouldn'ty leave the club under his watch, so what happens? Waite left and played another 5 years for North, Finals, and was North's leading goalkicker, when we struggled to score goals. Waite was nominated for AA.
The same Malthouse who got rid of the only bloke who could protect the young, and fly the flag when the going got tough, and he's still playing and we could use him today: Mitch Robinson. Malthouse got zero return for the club for those 2 players.
Then there's our speedy goalkicking small forward he got rid of for pick 42 to the Dees, where he went on and continued to kick goals for them, run and carry, and a leading goal kicker. I talking the speedy Garlett. I think we got Foster with the pick for Garlett.
Then there's Laidler who fell out of favour Malthouse, not fitting into the new coach's defensive structure; he played only one senior match for the season after playing the first 4, and requested to be traded at the end of the year, again seeking more greater opportunities for senior football so he went off to Swans where he played 50 games and finals, and is still at that club developing the young kids.
Hell, Malthouse led us to a @#$%&! spoon. He was a Head Case of a Head Coach that caused friction throughout the club when we needed unity.
Malthouse thought he was bigger than the club, and still thinks he's the biggest dude in football land.
He's delusional and has a distorted view of himself.
If malthouse's opinions resonate with you, then good luck to you. He's got you under his spell.
