St Kilda have just announced they are parting ways with certain assistant coaches and high performance chief.
What are we waiting for?
Have the board even read the review?
Are they having trouble making decisions?
Or are they just waiting to show the media who's boss?
Surely it is one of the above.
This feeble attempt to get one up on the media will backfire, just you watch.
The media can wait , Sayers wasn’t head of PWC based on making people happy !!
I really hope this guy is sleeping giant to wake this club up again …
Long way to go to show me he is different to previous nuff nuff we have had at the helm , but good start
PWC means little when he has also been on the board during a period of time when several coaches would have been sacked.
It’s about building blocks potentially, and I’m with you he was part of malt house appointment and everything that followed on from there but it does take time to get to the top , in the corporate world and footy world
It’s about building relations , and now he is on top , maybe he will different in a good way , like I said he has along way to go to get our trust but at least he is telling the media , all decisions will
Be announced when he / Board sees fit
Nothing wrong with that …
Well there is something wrong with that, the longer you wait the more likely you are to miss out on the best options.
I am all for Process, God the lack of Process is what got us into this shit in the first place.
But this is a very competitive landscape and a sense of urgency is required, surely.
It is hard to believe the board have not seen the review, met and decided what needs to be done (who should be told their time at the club is no longer needed).
That is Part A.
Part B is finding the replacements.
Part B is not contingent on Part A happening first.
Part A should happen swiftly.
And there's a respect element, not making people wait and wait for their fate to be determined.
If they want Teague's take then fair enough, but again why wouldn't they have done that sooner?
I get it, he was coaching.
But their all big boys, surely they could have got his take sooner.
Presenting to keep his job is different, and it is fair they do that post season.
But my point is that likely is all academic.
If it;'s not then maybe we are all wrong and he is a chance to keep his job.
