Hope we leave Fogarty in. Last time we played them he had, 25 disp, 7 tackles and 1 goal. We are going to need his run with Doc and Williams out.

SPS needed re-programming because Teague persisted in trying to turn him into a defender when it was obvious he was never going to make it. He's a forward/mid and finally after confusing the shit out of the kid, he's finally being played where he belongs.

As for your comments about coaching aggressive attacking football, that's laughable. The key is to coach a balance. To defend when required and to have an offensive mindset when you create the opportunity. Suggesting defence is about setting players behind the ball and playing negatively is simplistic nonsense. We have no concept of team defence. Our own coach believes the best way to stop an opposition when they have momentum is to keep attacking! He and the players have openly stated so.
We don't compress the ground when required to assist our defenders. That's why Weitering and Jones are in more one on one contests than other defenders. Until Teague implements more than one mode of structure and game pace, we are wasting our new recruits and our players are being under-utilised and short changed in their development.

I prefer to pick and choose who to converse with. Those that are civil I return it in kind - Blue Vain I dont even read his/her posts due to his/her aggressive and know it all nature. I just dont find his/her posts informative to retort. You just enjoy attacking posters from what I have seen... you have attacked me on a number of occasions because I defended Teague. Now you go on another dumb rant.

I don't care about you mate - what dont you get about that? There are some very good contributors here that stick to football and frank dardew is certainly one of them but you and Blue Vain and couple of others try to play too smart thinking you are. I have no time for you guys.

They have not been part of our conversation. They might still be in the selectors' minds - we'll find out shortly.
I imagine that one of them might find their way into the team with Docherty out and the game at the MCG. If not, then it's true they will struggle to get another look in.

On a very slightly related note (re drafting), I couldn't help but reflect that as Burgoyne plays his 400th game - and still at a pretty high standard - that we picked Luke Livingston and Trent Sporn ahead of Burgoyne in the 2000 draft!
And, incidentally, Daniel Kerr went at no.18, Kane Cornes at 20, Drew Petrie at 23. We missed Laurence Angwin who went at 7 but thankfully made up for that by finally getting him a few years later :-).

Obviously both struggling at VFL level. Can't see either on our list in 2022 IMHO. OBrien may find himself a new home for a late pick or DFA. For a player who is reportedly a great kick, Williamson has been a turnover merchant in the AFL and VFL this year, and a late 60's pick in the draft, his form and output isn't going to save him me thinks.

How about the selection of Williamson for consistency? Gobsmacked TBH, and a huge surprise for most Carlton fans.

Teague said he only wants to give players in form a go in the seniors.
Then he added there wasn't any HB's to choose from but some players were playing good footy.
Willo has been selected as "a like for like replacement for Williams".

Can anyone see the the resemblance? Really?
Maybe 185cm Cottrell with his speed . Maybe 182cm Ramsay for 185cm Williams is close.
Williams Cottrell Ramsay are dual sided. Have youy seen Willo's right foot?

Typical stuff from Teague and his band of selectors though. Like the MRP, inconsistent.
Give a kid in form a go: Honey, Ramsay, even Cottrell has shown more in the VFL than Willo.

Even Williamson's favourite fan jimmae posted Willo's form didn't warrant selection.
Willo was degraded by his coach OKeefe in his report.
I hope Willo improves his kicking/ turnovers/ frees against and doesn't bite off more than he can chew, Paul Bower style. OMG.

Willo should come out breathing fire, and I hope that doesn't mean giving away frees as he has recently in the VFL.

Honestly, I'm not focussed on finding out more about Willo, as long as we win. Period.
