Agree. Considering our current gun forward didn't debut until 22 it's a little early to be cutting our losses.

Yep ! another Mickey special from Frankston that got away.Newman would have been an ideal replacement for Simmo. Dont say you werent told.................anyhow,they could do worse than give Nick's little brother Josh a rookie spot.

If any other club is interested in him, I wouldn't have thought he'd be too keen to renew his contract at the blues. He probably feels hard done by for not getting much game time.

Whilst I'm not a big Daisy fan and its clearly been of many poor recruiting decision, I wouldn't be adverse to giving him another year. You're getting caught up with his previous salary. I don't think the fact he was overpaid in the past really comes in to consideration when deciding whether he gets another contract. I think we could delist the 10 worst performing players on the list and Thomas would probably survive that cull.

You are right, I am very much caught up in his previous salary. It saddens me that Carlton is a laughing stock, and it is because of decisions such as that one to hire Thomas. It is like offering $90,000 for a car that no one else in the market was willing to pay more than $30,000.

I understand errors with recruiting, it happens all the time, but this was on a bizarre level. Even a half-brain dead and semi-comotosed, drunk monkey with vision impairment couldn't make a decision that bad.

It is one of the main reasons why I rarely watch Carlton matches anymore.

Boekhorst got 26 possessions against Hawthorn- more than in any of Thomas's 18 games for the season...but what's the bet that Thomas gets one year contract, and Boekhorst is offloaded. That is reality at Carlton.

Sounds like you need to watch some games to get some perspective. Bit hard to take you seriously if you don't understand what's happening on the field from week to week and then complain about the clubs decisions.

A part of me wants him to star so that the pig headed members of the match committee have an entire frittata on their face

BS decision...

And how many frustrating and at times embarrassing games Casboult has served up over the years

But no, we couldn't just try KJ for a few games in the seniors...oh no...god know, the club would've exploded

Giving away pick 7 for him was the dumb and ridiculous move.

Not sure delisted players burning us could be classed as typical.

Doubt we will be offered anything for him. Even from the Pies. Not matching FA deals have hurt us I guess.

FULL LIST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS:
Andrew Collins (del)
Fraser Dale (del)
Marcus Davies (del)
Aaron Joseph (del)
Jeremy Laidler (del)
Patrick McCarthy (del)
Luke Mitchell (del)
Rhys O'Keeffe (del)
Heath Scotland (del)
Josh Bootsma (del)
Jaryd Cachia (del)
Kane Lucas (del)
Andrew McInnes (del)
Brock McLean (del)
Luke Reynolds (del)
Mitch Robinson (del)
Tom Temay (del)
Tom Fields (del)
Cameron Giles (del)
Nick Holman (del)
Blaine Johnson (del)
Fraser Russell (del)
Brad Walsh (del)
Robbie Warnock (del)
Matthew Watson (del)
Matthew Dick (del)
Andrejs Everitt (del)
Jayden Foster (del)
Andrew Gallucci (del)
Billy Gowers (del)
Clem Smith (del)
Jason Tutt (del)
Dillon Viojo-Rainbow (del)
Mark Whiley (del)

Laidler and Robbo the only ones to kick on and we had no choice with Robbo.

Gartlett wasn't on the list. Not sure why. Same deal as Robbo. 3 strikes your out.

That's 31 out of the last 34 we've delisted who haven't "burnt us". Only one mistake from the last 34 delistings.

So why does everybody throw all logic out the window and assume the club doesn't have a good reason for not playing him? You'll just want to complain without knowing anything about what's really going on.

Because Garlett was traded?

Is Laidler playing finals?

My memory was wrong. I thought we sacked him. What did we get for him in the trade?

Some late pick we didn't use. Moronville.

Absolutely spot on.

All those supporting trading in two players (Whiley, Jaksch) and Pick 19 for pick 7 have gone very quiet.

Time for the club to fess up... to stop us all complaining

No news on White? Considering the number of defenders on our list, I would delist White before some others that have been mentioned.

Not really. Moronville would have been telling a bloke he on his last chance, having him lie to management and the coach's face and then not showing him the door and watching every other players respect for management and the coach walk out the door instead. He gave us no choice. Sadly.

Minor infraction. Lied about getting beaten up. You don't just give away players of that quality.

Like repeatedly telling the media beyond all doubt you didn't call a player a rapist, when its clearly visible on film for all to see?" And after being caught out by all and sundry, still trying to deny it?
Then we had the temerity to sack a player for lying to the liar.
Spare us the moral lecture. Whilst Malthouse was at the club, we had no right to take the moral high ground.
