Seriously how good a list balance is this right now. I cannot remember the last time we had so many options in so many positions.
Try to ignore positional setups within the 2 lists (there my thoughts) but look deep into coverage/depth and rotations/flexibility.
Many of you will agree we don't quite have class in every position/area and plenty of unknowns - but what we do have is balance and options!!
Look at the attached 2 lists, think long term and development.........
Byrne Rowe Weitering
Docherty Marchbank Plowman
Gibbs Cripps Simpson
Smedts Casboult Palmer
Phillips Silvagni Sumner
Kruezer E Curnow Murphy
C Curnow Kerridge Thomas Armfield
Buckley Glass-McCasker White
Williamson Macreade Fisher
Cunningham Graham Petrovski-Seton
Polish Jaksch Boakhurst
McKay Kerr Pickett
Gorringe Lamb Wright
Gallucci Sheehan LeBois
Jones A Silvagni Korcheck
I did the same exercise last night with the kids.
My teams were much different, but the point you make is spot on.
I also love what we have in the NBs to develop and protect the kids. Create a winning culture and VFL finals. (Doggie style)
I have a VFL backline with Silvagni, White, G-M and probably mixed in at times with Rowe and Macreadie
From your seconds team I expect SPS Fisher Cuningham Pickett and possibly Macreadie and BB in the seniors this year.
Plenty of pressure for spots in the seniors.
What a transformation after 44 rounds, and there's another 22 rounds to go till we have a list made for sustained success.
