Any one who was happy with one spot on the bench labelled 'reserved for ruck rotation' has lost their grip on reality, and staves off total madness by repeating the same tired line at every available opportunity.
If Kreuzer has shit form up forward, and Phillips has shit form up forward, and Kreuzer is by far and away the better and more dynamic ruckman, as well as a dominant player who has built a career around taking 75+% of the ruck workload, you formulate a plan based around Kreuzer and send Phillips to the reserves until he rightly shows significant form and fitness in one or both roles.
We had a plan, the plan was pretty lacklustre, and we got to change the plan when Phillips went down. The new plan's working pretty well. Out of desperation, we turned to a guy who wasn't showing four-quarter performances at VFL level as a forward/ruck but had the talent, gave him an almighty baptism of fire and then stuck with him when he showed some enthusiasm in a forward role because we had Jones barely keeping his head above water.
The only reason anyone wanted rid of the Kreuzer/Phillips combination is because it was flat as a @#$%&! tack, and that has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Bolton doesn't strike me as an arrogant man, so don't expect him to change a winning formula any time soon, certainly not this week.
I think you're really getting yourself wound up on the 2 rucks, Whitey etc...take a chill pill.
We have won all our games with 2 rucks.
Bolton chooses the 2 rucks. He approves.
We started winning games with Philips in the ruck and imo was doing better than Kreuzer at the time.
Philips didn't get dropped. He did a hamstring.
Bolton prefers the 2 rucks. Proven since Philips' injury. That's not arrogance, that's his preference.
If Bolton decides to go in with just Kreuzer as the sole ruckman then I back that too.
At this stage, it has been 2 rucks from round 1-10.
I don't understand where you are coming from or what your post is trying to say.
You don't want a 2nd ruck or no 2nd rucks like Philips or Gorringe?
What happens when injury prone Kreuzer goes down during the game?
Remember that game against the Saints at the G when Kreuzer came off with a foot injury? No plan B.
