Bullocking work...what is that? Its not a statistic, not even a 1%er. What is it?
When the block is made to protect the ball carrier it's supposed to count as a 1%er, at least under the definition as of a few years back, but I'm not sure they're actually counted.

Ineffective taps...spare me. I saw Kreuzer go up, in his usual avoiding contact mode, get a free tap and does a double hander right down the troat of the Bombers Centre...you don't see that? They are both guilty, and I don't really rate either ruckman TBH. I'm just hoping this glaring gap is filled in the next 2 years coz it is a Huge gap.

He finished the game with a swollen brow... contact avoiding...

What about handball? Kicking? Scoring?
Jones, Casboult, Kreuzer, Philips, White...there's our glaring problem.
I think its time to end the emotional attachment to players who have served this club and start looking at the substance shown today and in the future.
Everyone is hoping Kreuzer makes it. Have been since he did his knee a few years ago. He aint getting younger. How long do we give 'hope'?
It's already well covered what I think of that list. Kreuzer is at the top of it IMO, but he's not far ahead and he's got work to do to restore confidence in his ability to turn a contest. I'm not living on past glories when I talk about him, I still think he does a lot of impressive work out there, and it's why he gets left on the field even when Phillips is taking ruck minutes.

Good thing is Jaksch can kick accurately from distance.
Curnow is growing as a footballer
McKay is injured
Korcheck is a punt.
We have a problem with the ruck! Don't believe it? Compare our rucks with the top teams. Now look lower on the ladder at the others.
I'm fully aware there is an issue with the ruck divison, one I think we're addressing through senior development now, and will pull the trigger on to rectify for the long term this coming off-season. Look for Levi, Everitt, Rowe, Jones, White, Foster, Jaksch, Wood and Jamison to be in that discussion. I reckon 5 of them will be gone, one way or another.

if Kreuzer is the keeper, other than hope and bullocking what does he bring to the table against Colonwood? They only have one ruck in Grundy who incidently had 21 possesions and 15 HO's against Nic Nat and Lycett...2 of the best.
They also had Cox as a forward/ruck, who at 211 cms will generally give a contest. He's learning the caper. Grundy's a very good 4-quarter ruck, it's just NicNat is a machine and Lycett is an excellent support ruck.
Also, the Eagles have a stoppage system where those guys are actually getting the clearance from their hitouts. Yes, NicNat's a freak, but why aren't we using Phillips to do that at centre bounces, and why isn't Kreuzer being allowed to do that at around-the-ground stoppages, where he positions himself to win the tap outright.
They can always collapse back in on the fall of the ball if the tap isn't won.
