No, I can't disagree with either of those statements but how is that relevant to your previous post. :?
To suggest Mick tried his best to install leadership and accountability is fanciful.
You judge Ratten for underperforming with "the benefit of some great talent coming in" yet Mick is excused because he had "massive injuries during his tenure".
Funnily enough Ratten had a greater injury list in his final year yet you're not making excuses for him.
And then you have the hypocrisy to dismiss my views because apparently I lack impartiality.
Pot, kettle, black?

Malthouse appointment and tenure was an unmitigated disaster perpetuated by an amateurish board.

unlike your balanced impartial defences

how can you defend someone that has come into your club and ripped the shit out of it just for the sake of his own ego
he hasn't left it better than he found it (as nearly all predicted) and we will be paying for his arrogance for years to come
at least most that supported his appointment did realise and admit micky was a disaster but you are just in denial and absolutely irrational in his defence

I was and am now even a bigger hater because he totally screwed our club and so should every other blues supporter be

I understand that you all need a person to demonise for our plight. You have chosen mm. Keep bashing him, even though he cant defend himself. If it makes you feel better. Keep going and going. Its pathetic.

You're not here for the hunting, are you?

I have this strange theory that if you post something, you should be accountable for it. If I post, I expect others to read it and if they disagree, tell me why I'm wrong. We offer our views and hopefully once all the points are debated, the picture is clearer.

You on the other hand post shit, and when others want to debate your thoughts, you call them "haters" and refuse to engage. That tells me your posts cannot stand up to scrutiny or you're only here for the shitstir.
If you don't want to be accountable for your views, perhaps you should start up your own site where no one else's views are welcome and you can live in your little fantasy land without views contrary to yours.

It appears you just did.

As for respect, I'm happy to show respect when its earned. Writing posts and discussing the merits of your views like an adult instead of dismissing alternate views as "haters" etc like a Grade 4 kid might be a good start.
I challenged some of your comments. Instead of standing by your views and supporting them, you dismiss any alternate views as impartial. If my points are incorrect or invalid, engage in a decent debate instead of simply labelling anyone who disagrees as a hater.

As i said previously, if you don't want anyone to disagree with some of your views, don't post them on a public forum.

I certainly don't hate the Madhouse ... BUT I do hate what he has done to the club. Those that wanted him and those that appointed him must now feel quite ridiculous.

We must now make the best out of the situation he has put us in. This years draft was a very good start. Bolton looks like he will succeed ... I never ever had confidence that the Madhouse would.

Bring on the Football ... I can't wait ...

The reality is ... I can't wait ... I am getting too old.

Padre I'm with you...

Bolts is a good replacement but Mick faced big challenges with the list management, injuries and depth. We never had the depth to begin with. Too many selfish players .

I believe Mick gave his best but ultimately made some bad decisions and just didn't have the list hungry or talented enough. That's what it comes down to. Yes MM wasn't immune from mistakes .

The board has still been incompetent it's early doors to suggest anything has changed. Performance will help.

Hopefully we start improving and show a few teams up this year.

Sigh....
"" lYou're dreaming. It was a disaster by any measure.
Financially, it cost a mint to pay out the existing coaching panel and Mick was on top dollar.
Then he bought in his underperforming mates on top dollar.
He was happy to preach unity and a team first mentality but once again he put his own interests before the clubs when his time was up.
As for installing leadership and accountability, I'm unsure if you're taking the piss or you really believe that nonsense. He refused to implement leadership programs and refused external assistance to develop leadership.

There was no change in culture, just more of the unaccountable, selfish, insular crap the club had specialised in for years. If anything, his selfish ways reinforced the behaviours we were all bemoaning.

I'm happy to look to the future but please, spare me the twisted reflections. He's a very average individual and the best decision our club made in 20 years was to toss him out on his arse.

Talk to the players now and with the short exposure to Boltons coaching, they realise how much they have to catch up in tactics, strategies, professionalism and football knowledge.
There's not enough hours in the day. ""

Basically all you are doing here is stating opinion after opinion as fact. Why should i debate your opinion. You are entitled to it, as i am.
I will stand corrected if you can state some facts and back them up , but to merely state that his assistants were underperforming and overpaid, is a qualitative assessment. There is no quantitative measurement here . Ie facts. Just opinion.

You say he put his own interests before the club. That is opinion. Not fact.

He refused leadership programs. He refused to external assistance? Lol. Who was running the club? Weren't they meant to implement them? Dont blame mick for that.

You say that there was no change in culture. I say it started to change from a very low base. It pissed off a few selfish players and they left. Waite robinson garlett etc. Your opinion v my opinion.

His selfish ways reinforced the behaviour.... Again your opinion. Not fact.

You state he is a very average individual. Your opinion. Not fact.

The only apparent fact albeit unsubstantiated is your private chat to a few unspecified players, that they realise how much they need to catch up....
Who are these players? Back up your facts with some names and i will believe you otherwise its just speculation as to what the players" believe"

There you go, I fixed up the quotes for you so it's resembling something readable.

That's fantastic. You've read my post and disputed some of the comments made. I would have thought thats what these fansites are about.
Your proposition that someone posts something and it can't be disputed because it's only opinion would be rather boring wouldn't it? Someone starts a thread with an opinion and no one can follow it up if they disagree. Boring.

Mind you, your comments about it being my opinion and not fact is correct. Nowhere have a stated it's fact.

Lets go back over some of your responses. Firstly leadership programs.

The club had implemented them and your hero kicked them out. And then he had the stupidity to bemoan the lack of leadership within the playing group.

Quote:
Chris Judd and not captain Marc Murphy addressed the media, symbolising Murphy's struggle in the captaincy role and the on-field leadership void. One of the innovations Malthouse removed when he came on board was the Leading Teams program.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/m ... z3wXGquMsU

Quote:
How about a quote from one of the game's great experienced leaders, Mick Malthouse? "I hate it. I think it's degrading," he said about Leading Teams.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/l ... 6062298581

As for putting his own interests before the clubs. How else could you describe his efforts on radio the day before he was sacked or his efforts on the Footy Show on the eve of the 2011 final series.
What about Mick putting his contract status into the media last year stating the uncertainty will effect the players. This is before a ball was kicked in anger.
Anyone who doesn't see that as putting his own interests first is kidding themselves.
Once again opinions but the provoke discussion and debate.

With regard to the players realising how much they have to catch up and learn. Read their comments on the website. Not only the coach but the players are telling how much time they are spending learning and the huge hours they are investing before the season commences. Hardly disputable. :?

Once again thoughts and opinions that provoke discussion and debate.
Unlike your good self who refuses to discuss his opinions and labels anyone who questions his view as haters and impartial.
That's what I labelled as shit and I stand by it. Not your views. I think they're misguided and myopic but I'm happy to debate them and hopefully you can sway my opinion but you refuse to do it. You rather put up the shutters and dismiss anyone else views.

If you want respect, try some accountability first.
