I'm just piecing together what minds greater than mine have told us.
So, I've heard around the traps that Barker is coaching to instruction.

That means playing kids and, importantly, releasing them from the fear of failure. This is good for all the reasons BV has outlined.
And, for the first time in the modern era, the club appears to be taking a big picture view to list building and what is required to be a 21st century success. In many respects for everything great about the Barassi era, we might be taking our first steps from emerging from his shadow. As great as it is.
The bit about the board knowing what they're doing is good because even if they don't know what they're doing they know enough to hand the important decisions to people who do know what they're doing.
If mistakes are made by the board and/or executive now at least they're being made with the right intention and not because "We're Carlton, @#$%&! the rest."

hmmm.
ok.
but...
let's suppose it is SOS giving the instruction.
does this continue with a new coach?
who is really the coach then?
is this a ood precedent, or just goes with the 'interim' coach tag.
if it is just for now, how can johnny be judged fairly/
We only know that he is a good puppet coach then don't we?
Are the kids feeling free from fear now?
Or,
have they been shut back in a box after few weeks of freedom?
Are they in fear of not meeting SoS's KPI agenda?
Just mulling it over.
If I know the end goal will be daring, attacking footy again,
I'm in,
otherwise,
f#%$ 'em.
I've lost my trust and faith in the club, which is why
i don't trust them,
or have faith in a good outcome.
