Cimm, BBW and Redback,
Replacing the coach is making a huge difference isnt it? Was I hallucinating or was that the biggest losing margin in the clubs history? According to your simple thinking does that make Barker the worst coach in Carlton's history? Shhh maybe its the list shhh!!!!
we played better footy because the players were allowed to play when your messiah was sacked not because barker is any good and they played a better brand of footy, that alone shows how restrictive his game plan was and we played it again last night
the real stuff starts next year I don't give two hoots about results this year but if we keep playing the same bullshit game like the last couple of weeks I wish barker isn't there either
wrong game with not purpose
I dont have messiahs. That's my whole point. I don't play the man and personality politics. The coach is secondary issue to the systemic faults around recruitment, football department and board. Why bother changing the coach?
one person makes or breaks the team and is judged by performance
that's the coach
understand that part of the equation
the board and the other staff members are responsible in their own departments and should be accountable for their own failings but the coach is responsible for the on field performance and player response that's all you need to realise about sports teams.
players that don't perform are judged on personal performance but the whole team performance and its output as a whole is the doing of the coaching staff and primarily the head honcho.
micky was judged and rightly executed now whoever takes over is responsible for the performance of the team in general and not on the membership drive, the sponsorship contracts or the sausage sizzle
everything from player development and growth, discipline, structure and game plan, match day tactics and responses, team selections and everything else that goes with managing, educating players and improving the performance of our team to succeed is the coach’s responsibility
micky failed let’s see how the next one performs
I don’t give a rats who coach's but if he doesn’t perform he will cop the same criticism and rightly so
The players deserve a fair wack for their performances but with the way micky played it was hard tp judge them on that insipid game plan, structure and every other reason that came along playing under a self centred tyrannical dinosaur that was our micky
