Hendo must play key defensive role for the rest of the season, and the rest of career. He's potentially All Australian Key Back. Plays the odd good game up forward, but Careys' observations tonight were spot on, and Barker should listen and learn. He's a total wasted player up forward. His opposition backmen run off him, his 2nd efforts are often poor, his 1st efforts tonight were worse. It was a horrible game from a Key Fwd, zero work rate . I'd rather play Watson and Casboult together.
If he leaves and goes to Geelong, I'm sure they'll play him down back, and he will go on to have a very good career as a key defender.
Work it out coaching staff, it stands out like dogs balls.
Spot on. Can only think of one person on this entire forum who thinks otherwise, and their relentless machine gun posts littered with full stops and no respect for English grammatical rules gives the casual observer the idea that Hendo forward has merit and that this is a genuine controversy.
No. Hendo has great hands floating back, is a superb intercept mark, is a nice accurate short kick, and fills space brilliantly in the back half. He doesn't have the burst speed, leap, depth of kick, or dare I say it running patterns to be a great forward. As Gerry has said, workmanlike key position forward, potentially gun AA key position back.
I arrived early at the MCG tonight, and he was out on the ground at 645 on his own with a trainer having 50 or more shots at goal from the city end, but none longer than 35 metres. The bloke is trying, but it is not his set shot kicking from 35 metres that is the problem.
Pantsed by the gay icon stalkee Richmond CHB tonight. NTTAWWT.
