I forgot about this thread. I just posted about my conversation today with Steven in the Trigg thread. Seems he did the rounds today

Having a think about this over the weekend, as commendable as it may be for Trigg to have done this, seriously, we are paying the bloke north of $300K to call up irate members ???
FFS, with the list of things wrong at this club, his to do list on a Monday was "call Joe Bloggs, member".
To me, this what is so damn wrong with this club. A bloke paid big bucks to run the club is getting bogged down in petty detail ?
Its taken me a few years but I'm firmly on Synners page here. Nothing will be achieved at this club because we just keep re-arrangiung the deck chairs. The Prez has been on the board since 2010. What they hell have we achieved in that time? What decision/governance can he point to that has been in anyway beneficial to the club in his 5 years??? And he was the best candidate ????
As Synners says, the on field performance is the reflection of the malaise off field. I have complete despair that we are going nowhere and slowly. That what we are seeing now is going to be our future for 5, 10 15 years. I'm done listening to them, I'm done hearing how they are going to do this or that. And if withdrawing my support hurts the club I love, well then so be it because theres no other way I can get across to the club how I feel.
Sacking Mick would simply be yet again us taking the easy way out. We are the new Richmond.
It sounds like he contacted some select members on one day, after having the social media team pour through forums and e-mails. Some of the e-mails were sent over a month ago, so it's the culmination of months of correspondence.
Would this be a bad thing if he sets aside a few hours every fortnight? I see it as something that helps him reinforce his own goals and message.
