I think Henderson has credible claims to be our highest paid player.
Not if he wants to kick the bulk of his goals crumbing off other forwards he doesn't.
Second half of his was much better than the first, but still too easily leads his opponent to the football.
So what jimmae?
He beats them regardless.
Henderson was damn aggressive in the first half and was easily our best big man...IMO
Thank god he can also rove off our fumbling Is that his fault.
He's a bloody all rounder.
He can run, kick straight passes, kick straight for goals, close or from 50, Mark on the chest, over the head, rove, play KPF and KPB. I'd be surprised if he isn't an A grader. In fact, who is better than him and more valuable than Hendo in the CFC? In your opinion, and why?
Just 4 rounds in and he's played a lot of roles, forward and back. It's because he is capable, not incapable.
The way I see it bondi he can make the contact on the forward early and move off him, putting him on the back foot and buying more space to secure the ball closer to the corridor and without contact, or he can let the midfielder put the pass where he roughly wants it, and he can lead late.
What he's doing right now most of the time, is leading hard at the ball carrier without trying to forcibly break contact with his defender before the lead, meaning the defender feels him break from touch, has been watching the incoming ball carrier and has Hendo at least in his peripheral vision. From there is just genetics, and Hendo might have good repeat efforts, but he is not a world beater in a straight sprint.
Another bloke like that kicks them regularly now, and his name is Josh Kennedy. Food for thought.
