Yes.. while its true that rhe club does need an intervention and that ?Maclure agreed with that..he did not agree that none of this is MMs fault...for instance the poor kicking at goals..
King says rhe old chestnut thay coaches cant kick goals for them. Sellers says
.yes..but its Mick who has gotten rid of all our top goal kickers.
TRUE..he has!!!
He has also re built with hacks and ok'ers and good little MM servicable soldiers who he likes to totally command and improve..but who have zero charisma & passion .The kind who might take ypu out of your front door to see a live game and make you want to love your club. He has failed ( so far)
To inspire these men.
But....he still might and I still think we are much better than we showed on thurs. Nite.
A posotive game style thay brings out the best in your players..
That is entirely up to Mick
And if we got Bomber Thompson in..warts and all..even with that background..
The problem with the majority of people in here and connected with our club is that they are suffering from "coaching myopia".
Our problems run far deeper than that, and the sooner our club realised that the better.
Agro, I hear ya,
I really do.
I've been well educated on our deep running flaws by the footy minds on this site.
I assume (maybe wrongly) that if we have not improved on field at the end of this year,
then MM, and his coaching group will go....
which I assume will mean great upheaval, rioting, and the overturning of our board.
I would assume Trigg and the new Prez would remain but..goodness.. all hell could break loose if a new ticket or 2 arise.
I'd liken it to when you ignore a symptom in your body for too long.
You tell yourself all kinds of cute little fairy tales about why you might have a pain...then why the pain may increase over time...then why the pain is exacerbating other body parts.
You might get to the Doc's (not Reid hopefully) in time before major damage is done,
or you might not.
The longer you leave it, the worse the prognosis, and the harder it is to treat.
You might even have to amputate a limb or two, in order to save your own life.
Some things though, can be turned around on field by the placement of the right coach and his staff.
I really believe that. I've seen Melbourne V us with new coach and some recruiting for a few years.
They still have Clinton Young there... someone you'd want to sack, but they are improving, and you can see it, and feel it.
Same with Port.. it's not ALL due to the deeper problems at board level.
