Just referring to the rumours of him forming a ticket to challenge the board from a few months back.

no... mike fitzpatrick will be apologising to hird when hird is in the hall of fame...

hird is an afl golden boy.....

just going through a rough misunderstood trot..

he and Essendon* are on the way to creating afl folklore...

I still remember going to the 99 prelim with my mate, I drove with a few mates and within a few seconds of the siren going he was gone, a very shattered man

im following this story.... im not confused.. spoke to your brother on the weekend.

basically sos spoke to a kid on behalf of us ....

ok

and on the other hand.. my cousin recently went to the races with an ex premiership player who these days sits on a huge pile of cash and has heaps of front around the club ... from the shadows.

(if that makes sense)

anyway... he cant stand sos..he simply detestes sos.... .. the ex player... cant believe hes coming to be back at the club... his upcoming employment is purely president driven...
there are a few reasons to why he isnt a fan of sos...
some are personal...
but he also doesnt rate him as an operator...

Yeah didn't think it was too hard.......

Haven't seen him since the GF I think!!! Will see him on Sat at a nieces b'day when I am down in Melb and hopefully get the goss on what is happening at Carlton, hopefully he didn't spend all his time speaking about the A league

cheers

Thanks from 79V.

I like Steven Silvagni.

Always have.

But every time I've heard him open his mouth I find myself wondering what it is he's actually trying to say, if anything. And the "if anything" is important here because it seems to me that most times he speaks there really isn't much that he has to offer.

Now Silvagni could be the best recruiter in the history of the game but how we'd know based on 2467 first round draft picks at GWS is beyond me. Or he could be a plant and a conduit to some decent players we might be able to pick up. If he's the former then who the @#$%&! knows why we'd offer him anything over anyone else other than because he's a good ol boy and buddy of the Prez and if he's the latter then what a shit way to live your life and I'd rather tell him to piss off.

Fraser Brown on the other hand is a bona fide piece of shit.

Great footballer but he's spent the last fifteen years making noises in the background whilst doing absolutely nothing. Blokes like that are worth their weight in shit to any organisation.

My...aren't we replete with options at the moment!

How about we just tell the "self-empowered" 95 team to @#$%&! off universally and move on?

As far as tin foil hats and conspiracy's are concerned, I have to wonder what the hell we are up to as a club sometimes.

Mick (Collingwood) Malthouse as Coach. Silvangni now at the club. What next? James Hird as fitness manager and Eddie MacGuire as President?

We need a to run a broom through the place!

Best way to do that is get ourselves a new premiership team so we have a new line of administrators, coaches, recruiters and yes men to run the club for the next 20 years.

Or a conga line of suckholes, as one might describe them.

Does Brown sponsor the club or contribute in any meaningful way? Other than couching up $ to oust unwanted coaches?

Genuine question.

Bring back SOS. Bring in anyone who can give an independent voice to our recruiting team, and discuss strategy on draft night.
