Em,
So is it fair that Mick can bullshit to the members to humiliate Jeff ?
Poor Jeffy, humiliated by Mick. Come on now... until the media ask questions submitted by members, I don't consider press conferences to be directed to me as a member, AFL "journalists" don't deserve the whole truth for some of the questions they ask and it needs to be understood that press conferences go out to everyone, not just members, but opposition teams etc. Mick's an old hand at this and won't just throw his cards down on table, and why should he? For you? Because you're a member? If you ask someone at the club I'm sure you'll get the
members' truth.
Nothing wrong with a bit of foxing. If you knew enough about opposition teams (and none of us really do) you'd know all coaches do this - it's hardly like Ross Lyon is holding up coaching strategy sheets at press conferences and allowing access into his office post-game, and I reckon Collingwood supporters probably complain that Buckley isn't a straight shooter either. All coaches tell the truth and tell lies and you're never sure which is which.
Maybe Jeffy was in the mix, maybe he wasn't. If he was, cop that - he didn't demonstrate the right attitude to keep his spot. If he wasn't, who cares that the media think he was? How do you even know Jeffy knew if he was or wasn't? Mick could be telling the truth, he could be lying, I really couldn't care less when it's to AFL journos. The facts are that Jeffy's not showing he wants to play with the big boys and hasn't for quite some time. His future at Carlton is in his hands.
Gday Couttsy.
Howdy bluegirl.
Great Scott!
You are trying to humiliate rexy by suggesting he is me?
bravo,
well played sir.
I think trying to stuff folks into tiny black and white boxes is kind of silly, and unhelpful.
I've certainly given credit to the coaching staff after matches where we've played well and as a team.
I've been trying to point out that even if you think MM is a super coach, you don't have to like or defend the way he goes about things.
It just happens, that he's done an awful lot of dislikable things.
If you need a scapegoat though , do please carry on
do please carry on.
I really like what Jim has to say, although, I reckon, to his credit, MM has gone away from his around the boundary, stop start style. They do use it a bit, but he seems to have adapted to the strengths of our players, which I certainly like.
As for GarTlet...

So why does Mick have to comment? Internally Garlett could be told he missed out on senior selection because of his late night and needs to learn form that but why do we need to tell all and sundry? Especially when he wasn't charged or involved in the altercations.
fair point, I reckon.
cheers, bluegirlrexy72
good on you Surrey, really good point.
(this is kind of fun..I usually amuse myself reading others crap back and forths..but what the hey.)
