our list management.. our development.. our recruiting have been pathetic

Why Collingwood Supporters Dislike Mick Malthouse
I used to respect Mick Malthouse, says Adam Hallinan. As the coach of Collingwood he delivered our 15th premiership, which we had been waiting 20 years for.
Opposition supporters just don’t get it. They are saying that we are average to treat a coach that delivered us a premiership with disdain. Let me try and explain our point of view.
In 2009 the now famous succession plan was signed off by Mick that would see him become the director of coaching for three years following the conclusion of the 2011 season, with Nathan Buckley taking over as senior coach. At that point in time Malthouse was the longest serving coach at a club ever without winning a premiership (10 years). In giving Mick another guaranteed 2 years as senior coach the ‘Pies were doing good by Mick. Yes we seemed to be in a healthy state at the time, but nobody looks back on losing preliminary finals as a success (or Grand Finals either going further back).
Under the plan, Nathan Buckley arrived at Collingwood for the 2010 as an assistant coach. Collingwood won the 2010 premiership, thanks mainly to the performance of the forward line, where intense pressure was applied to the opposition restricting the exit of the foot ball from Collingwood’s forward 50. The forward line coach in 2010 was…..Buckley. Coincidence?

Collingwood supporters dislike Mick Malthouse because they're a bunch of toothless feral unemployed uneducated slack-arse morons..........

You just tell the story Bradshaw story that way because it suits you but that wasn't how it went down. That trade was some of the smarter work they have done and Bradshaw and R chelli played their part beautifully while Voss had wet dreams over Brown to Fev.

Mick was off talking about the stars aligning when he should have did some quick research on the list. We could all see it. Well most of us anyway. Those not blinded by lollies.

Now you will say the stars aligning stuff was for our consumption. You are just saying that because it suits your argument again but it isn't the truth.

I heard somewhere that MM was so confident of beating Melbourne that he had no hesitation in dropping Garlett and Waite as a statement. Waite was leading contested mark in league up to round three. This week the papers say that MM will abandon his ultra defensive game plan and let the players play with some flair. MM just changes his mind every week doesn't he.

MM lost me last year when he played Kruezer, Hampson and Warnock against the Saints when we'd been down this path before and it never worked. I didn't go to that game because of the team selections and I knew we would lose, which we did. If I could see this why couldn't super duper MM see it, or the match committee? Against Melbourne, I see Wiley and Malthouse on the boundary line when things are going pear shaped, they looked like dads army.

The worst thing for me is MM is Collinwgood, Thomas is Collingwood but I now see them in Navy Blue. In appointing MM we took short term positive brand exposure to what now looks like long term brand damage, that was the risk in getting MM and now we are a laughing stock. Don't care what anyone says about MM changing the place around, he's had 18 months and has done nothing, players are going backwards. What will happen if we are 0-7?

If MM is going to stick around that is the clubs decision, I started voting with my feet last year and I've only gone to one game this year when I could have gone to all of them. I've supported them through thick and thin, gave the club money in their time of crisis and I've been rewarded with shit recruiting both on and off the ground.
