Prender, Bannister and Wiggins should all be moved on.
yep agree 100% and you can add sporn who has done jackall so far to that list as well. longmuir and chambers both deserve the flick although i imagine they remain under contract. these 2 players are slimply wasting our time and realistically will not be part of the next Carlton premiership side. WTF was pagan and co thinking when they re-signed Livo earlier in the year??? Davies should stay, has bucketloads of talent, but he is skating on thin ice and needs an absolute rocket up his ass for next year otherwise its bye bye to him too.
If we add those in the abovementioned post plus Aporn that leaves us with another 4 delistings.
So out the door is: Campo, Clarke, Bowyer, Prenda, Norman, Digby, Johnson, Wiggins, Sporn, Prendergast and Bannister. I suspect Lappo will stay. 11 in all
in the door is: Saddington, picks 1,4,20,36,68, 84? PSD picks 1 plus second round. And promote Setanta O'hailpin and Jess Smith. again 11 players.
Don't want to jump the gun but i would say next year we can part with Livingston, Chambers, Longmuir, Davies, possibly Houlihan and one of Deluca or Bryan (there isn't room in the team for both since we need a QUALITY ruckman). Plus the expected retirement of Kouta. That would leave 7 more spaces free to which those in the SuperDraft can be added.
This may seem abit extreme but I just feel we need to clean out all the dead wood if we are to truly stick by this youth policy.
At the start of 2007 that would mean the only remaining present players would be:
Betts
Walker
Russell
Scotland
Mcgrath
Stevens
Fevola
Whitnall
Lappin
Waite
Fisher
Bentick
Simpson
O'hailpin
J Smith
French
Bryan/Deluca
Thornton
Teague
Raso
Hartlett
Blackwell
Thoughts????
