Don't like messing with the backline too much but if Docherty is good to go then Walker goes forward.
No first year players will be in the opening team. CHB is the only post that looks somewhat uncertain to me.
I agree on the backline that MM worked on settling the back 6 but Docherty (**if we get him) in at 1st trial but 1AW needs to be moved onto a wing.
I'm hoping that Watto gained much needed confidence with his stint in the 1's before his foot injury and can make that his own from game 1. He appears to be a better player at the higher level and wasn't afraid to be the general out there. Confidence.
Makes for some decent disposal out of the HB line with Tuohy, Watson & Docherty** and solid contributors in McInnes and Simmo (Jamo strictly no blind bombs or torps, handpasses preferred please).
Would like Yazz on the wing as well and Jeffy & Menz will need to go through the rotations on the wing; Walker, Thomas, Gibbs, Murphy through the fwd line resting would add some match up issues and goal scoring power.
B 26. McInnes 40. Jamison 6. Simpson
HB 42. Tuohy 10. Watson S.Docherty
C 1. Walker 4. Gibbs D.Thomas
Foll 11. Warnock 5. Judd 3. Murphy
HF 13. Yarran 23. Henderson 2. Menzel
F 38. Garlett 30. Waite 8. Kreuzer
Rest 44. Carrazzo 32. Graham 9. Lucas 28. Bell
12. Robinson 14. McLean 35. Curnow 27. Armfield
37. Cachia (r) 43. White 21. Bootsma 17. Rowe
41. Casboult 46. Ellard 18. Temay 7. Buckley
34. Duigan 29. Scotland+
A lot of solid citizens in the rest but mostly average disposal and little X factor.
Will be interesting where the trade period ends up for some others on the list and if we can further transform our list.
