Dumb football! That's our game plan.
It took an Irishman to work it out and realize you break the press by kicking over it from 50.
What was with all the mangled short passes in the congested forward line when players could have had a shot instead?
Three amigos were useless with Yarran looking not that interested. They blanketed Henderson too and so no forward line.
Robinson has heaps of endeavor, but lacks the skill - time for a rest.
Murphy was non-existent, so where was someone to give Crowley a touch up? As for that other little flower Ballantyne, we were completely sucked in. And that's the ball game!
We have the weakest most selfish players in the league and probably the dumbest coach?
From the moment Murphy was crowned our captain I mentioned he would be targeted and from the first game he has been beaten from pillar to post.
Yes, he should grow a pair and !@#$%^7 defend himself (it’s bloody embarrassing) but his team mates have a responsibility to protect their leader.
This is the same in any other situation from a war to a government.
If they are lazy, stupid or incapable of fulfilling their duty of care then it’s up to the coach to enforce this policy.
This game has unfortunately re enforced my beliefs that Malthouse has made no inroads into this teams dysfunctional behaviour mental capability and there hasn’t been any improvement into creating a well rounded, tight and proud team ethos.
Not only has he has failed in structures, team selections and match day set ups but he has failed in the most basic area why he was brought into this football club,
discipline.
If there is one area a new coach needs to improve a team to show his worth is discipline, hardness and hunger for the contest, well he has had nearly a year to do this and he hasn’t got anywhere near it.
You can harp about structures, lists and process as much as you like but this exercise has been a complete waste of money and time.
